I wanted some battery operated lights so I could place them anywhere without needing a socket, especially in the bathroom where I wanted to use one as a night light. I also wanted them to be motion activated.There are lots of lights that match that criteria on Amazon, but I also wanted 2 other things: They needed to be rechargeable so constant battery changing wasn't an issue, and I'd like them to be colour changeable too as white light is not good for the eyes at night.These lights are brilliant, they're rechargeable, they change to one of 8 colours (I use red in the bathroom, as it's perfect for sleepy eyes), and they stick anywhere magnetic, or anywhere else using the sticky metal back-plate provided.Charging seems to take around 2 hours from flat, and 3 weeks later they're still going strong. That might not seem like a long time, but previous battery operated lights would usually die after a week with the amount of activation in my house. The motion sensor works really well and the light activation lasts for 30 seconds.I'm going to buy some more for a few other places, like under-stairs cupboard and boiler room, etc.Some improvements could be made however: the 30 seconds activation time could be changeable 15 - 30 - 60, for example, and if I walk into the bathroom and it senses me and turns on, if I then switch the main room light on, the light sensor should detect the light and immediately switch off it's own, which it doesn't. But they're small niggles that don't really affect their overall performance, and I'm completely satisfied with these great little lights.

Bought these to put behold a statue in a cubed shelf. And the colours are lovely. I have to charge after every use, but I do have them on for at least 4hrs a day. They come in a pack of 2 so I rotate them. I have then switched permanently on, however the sensor setting works great too, if you wanted them for your children’s room, or in the bathroom so you don’t have to have the main lights on.

Better than I expected! All the functions work well! Battery life is great! I have it in a high traffic area and going on 6 weeks still didn’t need to charge them! The motion sensor is very good and I love love that you can change the colour of the light in motion sensor mode - say you can have the light green on sensor mode rather than just warm white. The brightness is good, but extremely bright, it’s just right for a night light! The only thing is that I’m kicking myself now for not buying more!! Would definitely recommend if they become available again!!! Then I’d buy more too!

I bought this device as a night light for my bathroom. It is very neat and compact and easy to fix up using the self adhesive mounting pad. The mounting pad is a thin steel disk with a 3M adhesive backing which I imagine would stick to just about anything. The light itself has a small magnet inside the casing which then enables it to magnetically attach to the mounting pad and which of course makes it easy to remove and recharge when necessary. I have only had the device for a week so I do not know yet how long the battery will last, this will of course depend upon how often the light triggers but since it only comes on when the room darkens (the sensor is light sensitive) I expect it will last some time between re-charges. The case is made of translucent plastic so that the light glows through the casing.There is a small presence detector in the middle of the fitting which seems to work reliably although I found it only worked when facing forward. So, for example, I wanted to mount the light under a wall hung cupboard a few inches from the floor so that it was invisible but illuminated the floor. This didn't activate the on sensor and I found that I had to affix it to the wall in a vertical position in order for the on sensor to trigger. Not a major issue but a slight irritation.The light is just a glow but certainly adequate for a night light and provides a pleasant coloured glow in my darkened bathroom.The main reason for 4 rather than 5 stars, and a product failing in my view, is that once triggered the light only stays on for 10 seconds after which it is necessary to wave at the sensor to trigger it again. I find this rather inconvenient and given the relative attention to design detail that the manufacturer seems to have otherwise taken it is a puzzling failing. I appreciate that they are trying to minimise battery recharging but 10 seconds ON is useless.Finally, the 2 lights (I bought the pack of 2) comes nicely packed but is it really necessary to provide 2 usb charging cables? This is wasteful and since they assume you already have a charger why provide any (also they are very short so probably not even practical to use in many cases).

This is an excellent and well built product. It needs to be mentioned that the motion detector light activation, (naturally), only works in the dark meaning the product also comes with a light detector which is another plus point of the product not mentioned in the description. Do not think the motion sensor option is broken because it fails to operate in daylight conditions!

Internal battery lasting well, easy to set up and just leave.We have used it exclusively as a nighttime red light for next to toilet area. It always lights up with kind-to-the-eyes red light so don’t have to put the main light on, and automagically times out after we leave the bathroom. Perfect

I use this when I go abroad instead of leaving the bathroom lights on. I have one at home in the bathroom too. I charged it up the day I got it and put it in place.I bought 2 so I could 'charge and use' but in fairness, I have not had a chance to use the second one yet. I think I ordered in Feb, it is now mid-April and I have still not had to recharge it! There is no drop in quality of lighting either.Great product. Ideal too for putting inside a cupboard.Cons: I wish there was a setting to increase it from just the 15 seconds when on auto.
