Exactly what I need at 3am
Have bought these more than once after a family member sent them as a surprise. They do NOT last in our household because we all sneak and keep eating them up!

tastes great
If you like B/W Cookies these are among the best. I have ordered them a few times before and they always arrive fresh and in great shape.I will continue to order them. I removed one star because of the price. If you live in a big city you should be able to access a facsimile of these.

Totally flavorless cookie, rock hard white coating, bitter chocolate. YUCK!
The black and white cookies I grew up getting from the bakery were something totally different than this concoction. The cookies I grew up with were more like a cross between a sugar cookie and a butter cookie, half the cookie was dipped in milk chocolate. This is sort of like a flavorless cake cookie. How do you make a cookie with no flavor? I don't understand that? There's no butter or vanilla flavor it tastes like they were even made without eggs. They're a tough cake type cookie. The white frosting, again, no flavor is really hard, it's a heavy thick hard powdered sugar glaze. It would be nice if they'd at least add some vanilla to give it a little flavor. The "chocolate" side of the cookie could have some actual chocolate mixed in with the sugar combination of other ingredients, it's a dark bitter "chocolate" flavor, that's not quite as hard as the white side. About half the cookies came broken because they weren't packaged well by amazon, no paper or puff bags around them and I'm sure the package got bounced around a lot. The whole package is wrapped in plastic wrap but the cookies still tasted old. I really wasted my money on these, they are possible one of the worst cookies I've ever eaten.

These are delicious. Taste as good as the ones in NYC!!!!!
I sent these to my sister . We always ate them at my grandmother's house in NYC. These were delicious and the small size makes you feel less guilty. They are the best!!!

Very Disappointed!
I was very disappointed in these cookies. I love Black and White cookies. As a transplanted Californian I don't have a childhood history of these cookies. But, since living in the east. they've become a favorite. I was so pleased to find them on Amazon when I couldn't find B/W cookies at my usual store. I found the cookie part to be too thick and doughy and the frosting not sweet enough. As others mentioned, the package arrived with many cookies sticking to the box and broken. I generally buy a terrific B/W cookie made by Superior Cake Products. I found them at BJs Wholesale Club and buy them regularly. I think I couldn't find that one time because they'd moved to a different location. Hooray! I found them. Also, the price is $6.99 for the same amount and weight of cookie. Superior has a website, and don't sell directly, but I think can give locations where they are sold. Highly recommended.

You Can Never 'Go Home' Again
The cookies arrived this morning, after almost a week of shipping. They were packaged extremely well by the seller but still were somewhat mangled WITHIN the manufacturer's packaging. The taste is super sweet, but nothing like what I remember from being a kid in NYC. The ingredients have changed over the decades, so it is probably silly of me to think these would be 'that good'. Hence, the 3-star flavor rating. Freshness was more due to preservatives in the cookie itself. As for value, two stars because while there are 24 cookies in the package, it is still super expensive, for frosted cookies that are each eaten in two normal bites. I get more enjoyment from a family pack of chips ahoy, unfortunately. These black & white cookies were childhood favorites and you truly never can "go home" again.

Look to the Cookie! A Little Too Sweet and Too Many
I tasted my first black and white cookie when one was shared with me by a friend. It was love at first bite. I next had the cookie a couple of years later while visiting New York City. Same result.I then realized that I could order my beloved black and white cookies online. The Beigel's brand is a little sweeter than I remembered these cookies were previously. Also, I had them shipped to Texas during a warm part of the year. Thus, most of the icing was melted into an unsightly blob by the time they arrived. A dozen of them would have been enough for me to enjoy. Since I was the only one in the family eating them, in the end a few of them went to waste (while the majority went to my WAIST, if you know what I mean.)Two dozen is great if I'm having a party. Otherwise, I probably wouldn't order this tray size of the cookies again.
