Awesome deal
This is a great price for a quality, easy to prepare product that tastes great and is actually good for you and your animals. We prepare home cooked meals for ourselves and always look for nutritious food for meal prep for our three large breed dogs. This is a great addition to both their diet and ours and if you cook meals for your dogs instead of buying high processed dog food or people food, consider non-gmo, glyphosate residue free organic chickpeas for part of your families diet. Lookup recipes as this makes a great base for many diets. Recommended

Very fresh
These Ben’s are very fresh. I am half way through my first bag and haven’t seen a bad one yet. They are also very clean. When I read about cooking beans it always tells you to pick through them and look for pebbles etc. These beans have none of that. They are also delicious and easy to cook. Just soak them over night, rinse them and put them in boiling water for about 45 minutes, making sure you turn down the heat when they start yo boil again so that they won’t boil over. Putting in a small piece of kombucha dried seaweed also helps to make them cook well. I will definitely continue to buy this product

Best chickpeas I've ever found!
These are so fresh when they arrive… I am so tired of cheap ones at the grocery that are completely dehydrated and never properly cook up.I have bought other products from Palouse, which are all good, but this one tops the bill. I had been buying their 5 pound sack, but finally purchased the large sack because I make a lot of chickpea dishes! For hummus, I cooked them in a pressure cooker. The husks absolutely disappeared... no hand peeling, which is such a tedious task. It was the smoothest hummus I've ever made!!Although they're a bit above my budget, I will continue to buy these. Totally pleased with the family-run farming. They are quick to ship and always arrive well-packaged.With such a rave review, I have to add that I don't represent Palouse nor am I affiliated with them in any way. I just applaud them!

Good but not the same as organic - there is a trade-off in flavor/texture; subtle but noticeable.
While these are good and non-GMO, I definitely prefer the organic chickpeas they come in the $164 bucket. They have a totally different color and texture. Well, these are adequate, the Organic version is much more flavorful. That being said, they are just as easy to prepare. They're just as clean with no rocks or anything found to my knowledge, and they roughly the same value for the money as the Organic, but they don't come in a big bucket. The reason that they store so well is because I stored them in the bucket. The organic ones came in originally.

Top ranked beans in this man's life
Garbanzo beans + Lundberg short grain brown rice = the keys to the kingdom. Must have a small SS pressure cooker. 90 min under 1" water, beans stick to bottom at first, break loose after boil, place lid, pressure up, 90 min smooth creamy SWEET heavenly beans. Eat fast or refrigerate, bacteria love them too :)Thank you Lord.
