I have been using these filters for about a year and a half now and they do an absolutely fantastic job in my under tank filtration system, although I did add a polishing pad about six months ago the condition of the water really hasn’t changed all that much that I could see, I have a 55 Gallon tank with about 50 various fish and life plants, I am extremely happy with the outcome, the pads are very easy to clean by simply rinsing them off in warm running water, I change them out every 7 to 9 months, I can cut two pieces out of one sheet so these last quite a while.I definitely recommend these products if you are looking to change from over the side filtration to under tank filtration system

Great buy. I was able to clean out all my old aquarium filters using just one. The pourousity perfect for water filtration. Sturdy. Nice thickness.

Very convenient that the sheets come in various porosities instead of having to buy multiple sheets. They feel solid, don't rip apart easily but can be cut with scissors.

Expensive when the international handling is added. So I purchased a similar product elsewhere for less, but the pore size of the coarse foam was silly and useless being excessively coarse. With this product the medium and fine pad seem similar in pore size. Still I recommend this. It is very effective when used with perline padding instead of the green fine foam (if you don't have room for the three foams plus an additional perline pad, forgo the the green foam in favor of the perline polish of the water. That's what I do. Note that the set doesn't include a perline pad).

Bought this and cut it to size. I have 5 different sized Aquaclear filters on 4 different aquariums. This allowed me to cut and have some leftover for future replacements. Very good filtration...quick rinse and they are good to go again.

I have a 60 gallon freshwater Uniquarium and I have tried so many different options including polyfil, other brands of sponges, chemical clarifiers and in tank cartridge filters and these BY FAR work the best. I cut them to size and put them in the filter chambers. Every couple weeks, I know they need changed because the water level creeps up. I remove them, stick them in the clothes washer (quick cycle, cold water, no soap), then rinse them in dechlorinated water and stick them back in the filter chamber. I have a separate chamber for bio balls, so this does not disturb my bio filter. I have been doing this for 1 year now and just returned to purchase more since they are falling apart. I did not expect them to clear the water up so well and I did not expect them to last for so long. I am very happy with this purchase and will continue to use them.

This is hands down the best filter media you could want. Large surface area and easy to cut to fit any aquarium filter. And you get coarse,medium and fine foam in one pack. Easy to clean and reuse several times before replacing.

I purchased this foam after watching pondguru’s “pimp my filter” for the fx6. His suggestion is to replace the large white coarse foams with a coarse and a medium pond foam sandwiched together. When the package arrived it was evident my black and blue sponges were identically coarse. The green is MUCH more fine than either other color. There is no coarse-medium-fine in the two packages I bought. Now comparing to other customer photos here on Amazon I have concluded the manufacturing is either NOT uniform or they aren’t making them correctly anymore. I reached out to Richard (pondguru) and he said the green looks like the medium he sells, so those of you looking at this product to “pimp” your filter, he suggests using either blue or black for coarse and green for medium. Acquistata per sostituire le vecchie spugne presenti nel mio filtro Fluval U2, devo dire che sin ora queste hanno fatto bene il loro dovere trattengono bene le impurità dell’acquario, permettendo di avere sempre acqua pulita. Prodotto acquistato ad un ottimo prezzo, si taglia facilmente e pertanto è facilmente adattabile ai vostri filtri. Le spugne sono tre con tre con densità diversa e combinate tra loro compongono un efficace metodo di filtrazione meccanica per l’acquario.Consiglio l’acquisto.
