VELCRO Brand Sticky Back Tape for Organization, 15' x 3/4", Black, (90081)

A long while ago, I used to own a 3 wheeled recumbent tricycle, and what I found odd was the trike did not have a way to prevent itself from rolling away when on even a slight slope. What I did was use a piece of velcro in a such a way to create a strap that would loop around the brake lever and the handlebar, keeping the brake engaged when stopped. It worked great until I sold the trike. Fast forward and I've got a regular bicycle with a wagon towed behind it. A bicycle on its own is fine, but with the weight of a wagon behind, I needed something to keep the bicycle from rolling off its kickstand and falling. Again, velcro to the rescue. I ordered this velcro as it's in the width I needed, made the loop like I did years ago, and presto, I have a parking brake for my bike. We've also used this for other random things around the house. Overall, this velcro works great and I've had no issues with it.

In an DIY RV Conversion van, you have so many loose things -- that makes rattling noises. This black VELCRO holds things down -- and stops these rattling. Example of uses: refrigerator, garbage can, chargers, curtains, boxes and so on. Aside from that, used it to hold Survival Blankets against walls to help insulate van for very cold nights. Since interior color of van is a combination of black, grey and white, this black velcro is easy to hide. We also got the white version. The glue fails probably 5%(1 out of 20) of the time. You just have to learn where it would not hold. Whenever possible, I use wood screws to secure it.

Top notch product does the job

Works great. however, both hook and loop sides are on the same sheet of plastic. it makes sense, but my application method is a-symmetric, so I tent to use more loop (soft side) than hook (sharp side).

I just ordered my 2nd box of this velcro. It is heavy duty. I used it to velcro screens on windows. It is holding well.

Velcro works great. However, the glue on the back of both velcro strips really doesn't adhere to fabrics when the temperature fluctuates from hot and cold. May have to think of a better way of applying the strips to cloth.
