Sure, I could mix up the spices myself, but sometimes a shortcut is nice, at least for me. I’m not Indian so I cannot claim any kind of authority here on whether this blend is exactly representative of panch phoron or not; all I can say is it tastes great to me and cuts out some rummaging around in my spice cabinet. It is a good deal for the price and the spices smell amazing whenever I open the container I’ve stored them in. I highly recommend if you cook certain Indian dishes frequently.

Been trying different spices not normally found on grocery store shelves, or at least the shelves at my store! This has a lovely taste and now my family is hooked on the combination. Delivery was fast and spices fresh. I will be ordering this again.

This is Indian food flavor in a bottle! It is a very savory blend of spices. It's not spicy but the flavor of the spices are definitely strong. It's for people with more sophisticated palates. I used it to make roasted potatoes from "The Daring Gourmet" website. The potatoes were delicious. Because the spice is very flavorful and potent, you do not need any ketchup or toppings. However, there are other recipes online as well that you can try. I originally bought this because I have a recipe from a cookbook that uses this spice in a stew with a tomato base. Cooking it this way created a very delicious dish but the spices were a lot less strong then in the potato dish so it really depends how you use it in the recipe. The mix comes in a good size bottle and is vegan and kosher. I would purchase again from this company.

The Indian 5 spice mixture is SO fresh and the seller wrapped it in extra cling wrap to be sure it arrived undamaged. I'm having fun experimenting with Panch Puran spiced recipes.

Bag is a little much but in the end it keeps for a year. Very fresh, good aroma
