As a doctor, I remembered when Miralax was first marketed and reading the GI journals. The most impressive conclusion was when a leading journal reviewed almost all medical treatments we had been prescribing, and to paraphrase the last paragraph, there were many treatments for constipation, but Miralax was the best they had come across, if it could be afforded. No child under 12 months has the ability to fight the clostridium bolutlinum bacterium (botulism) found in raw, unprocessed honey, like adults can.
