This is the best bark you can buy for potting orchids. It lasts so much longer than the cheaper for bark. It's worth the extra money to not have to disturb the plants for an extra year or more over the cheaper bark that breaks down so quickly.

Excellent media for growing Orchids indoors (mine sit on a North-East facing window sill above the kitchen sink - just enough early sunlight + humidity). Growing conditions many dictate other media, but from my own experience the larger size media allows roots to grow down into the media, rather than over the planter sides. I also learned from experience that my Orchid prefer to be watered (about once a week) FROM THE BOTTOM by setting the planter in water so that the water is a bit more than half way up the planter. I have had only one instance of 'gnats' since using this planting media, but a treatment with NEEM oil was effective in resolving the infestation.

Awesome stuff! I use this for my tropical plant soil mixture. It is pictured 4th from the left of my photo. It adds a nice chunk to the soil and helps keep it fast draining.

Very happy with the quality. Orchiata is the industry standard, just wish it were cheaper!

Bought one bag of Small, Medium and Large, starting with Large at the bottom, and working up to small.Three bags was enough to do 9 6" Pots in total, so each bag will do about 3 6" pots.Doesn't break down like most standard tree bark does.
