Ok tool
Started to cut out a corner and as you can see in the pic it cracked the board. Only way I stopped it from cracking was to drill a releaf hole. Not only that, the spring on the inside catches the edge of the board and chips a piece of. Yes I used the guide, the guide doesn't allow the board to clear the spring. Other than that it is still a great tool.

Defective Product
Unfortunately this cutter was a piece of junk. We wanted to use it to cut LVT flooring. The cutter totally broke apart after 5 cuts -- sheared bolts and broken welds on the cutter handle assembly. Tried to return it; but the Amazon return window had closed before we had a chance to use it on a remodel.

Wouldn’t hurt to have this in your tool collection.
The handle was short and felt fragile along with that a lot of strength was needed to cut vinyl planks. However this device saves you a ton of time and is much cleaner than using a skillsaw.

I bought this as a second flooring cutter when we started a large vinyl floor job. It works great for life proof vinyl.

Very poor cutter
Used this several hours and the handle broke off alum. bolts snapped off inside the cutter. I would not recommend this to anyone. Very poor cutting also.

Bolts should not have been aluminum bolt
Did ok for 2 pieces of flooring then the bolts broke in the handle
