Ok, so it works I was able to input all my employees names and schedules, at the moment i havent had a problem with the finger scanner, but I cant seem to download user data to my computer, I can download everything else, just not that... its seems its missing some info or I will look again at the manual, I will update this review once I have all my employees fingers and passwords just to make sure that the device works, and once a 15 day trial starts, just to check if it works.Also another pros: I left the device disconnected for a month and I was afraid that my passwords and users got deleted but they didnt.Tips: When adding a large number of users, i did the following: Just added 1 user, the admin in my case, then I downloaded "userinfo" to a usb, its name is "INFO.xls", it has 2 tabs, "Schedules" and "users" or something like that, cant remember the name, and then I opened it on excel and added my employees, their id number, and the schedules. After that I just saved the document and uploaded that document to my device and that was it.

My biggest problem with this device is the lack of instructions. There is a single sheet venn diagram listing the steps to set up the machine. The fingerprint scanner itself does a great job of recognizing a finger print the first time, but when you can your finger there is no indication of status of the time clock. For example, it seems like you should be able to scan you finger and the machine will tell you whether you are clocked in or out. It does nothing like this, the machine accepts your fingerprint with a pleasant sound and green check mark and that's it. So, if an employee forget to clock out, or is unsure if she did actually clock our or clock in, there is no obvious way for her to verify that.As far as the reports go, it does make a variety of excel spreadsheets that can be opened up in Office 2010 (albeit after getting past an error screen), however, the names of the reports are not very descriptive and once you get them opened basically all you have a digital version of a hand written time card.Granted, I may not have delved very far into inner workings of the unit or the reports, but the lack of a comprehensive set of instructions precludes this. I'm on the clock right now, don't have time to write my own instruction manual for the people that would set this up, the employees to figure out how to use it, and the bookkeeper that would have to decrypt the output.

It does work. However it appears to have a lot of options that are not clearly explained in a single-page manual. Some people have problems with the fingerprint reader - might take them a dozen tries before finger is recognized. Data downloads to usb - in a text format, not easily pulled into excel or another spreadsheet. It also seems pretty easy for employee to change the time, mark finger, and then change time again, making it useless.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!! This clock works fine, it is the software that is a problem. If your employees check in and out everyday perfectly, then the software will work for you. When you download the file to USB and open it in excel, the data cannot be altered. We had employees who forgot to check in and/or out. I tried to manually correct the problem but it doesn't let you. I figured out a way to "unlock" the data so I could alter it, however, the automatic calculations won't update. So I ended up having to manually re-calculate everything on my own,

The instructions for this machine is not for the machine I received, but I figured it out and have it working.The fingerprint scanner goes out now and then and I have to restart the machine and it works again.The reports are nicely done and clear and understandable.Would give 5 stars if the info and machine matched so I didn't have to figure it out on my own by trial and error.
