Still using this umbrella to this day and it hasn’t broke

My Brother has always loved Japanese culture. He even took Samari Sword Wielding classes a couple years ago-so this was a great gift for him.The only thing I would suggest is splurge to get the "nicer" one.

2 months after I got it, I bumped my umbrella into a hard surface and it left a dent right where the shaft meets the hilt. U was surprised to eventually find out the shaft is actually hollow inside.Following that, I occasionally had to straighten the shaft of the umbrella out as it would bend crooked at the point of the dent.As you can see from the picture, constantly readjustment of the hilt and rust have broken the shaft down over time and it is no longer usable.

I gifted and it was delightful

It looks and works amazing. I would just prefer that the umbrella case would resemble an actual hard shell sheath instead of the bag sheath. While it hasn't happened yet, I have a bad feeling that I might accidentally tear it while putting away my umbrella. This could have been avoided if it were a hard shell and make it much easier to put away. I would also change the color of the rod to a silver to that of a sword instead of the black that blends in too easily to the rest of the design, it's just a minor cosmetic issue, but would be nice.

It's good for one small person to cover without a bookbag. It is sturdy. The only real drawback is the sheath, the strap is not long and does not adjust. The strap is only good if you are an A cup. The handle is plastic, not realistic at all. The umbrella is a good novelty item. People don't approach me on the train <3.

Received a defective broken item. On appearance closed it appeared fine. I purchased as gift. When the recipient attempted to use it, he found the rod is defective/dented so it won’t open. Listing clearly states FREE returns, however when attempting to exchange/return for a defective item via UPS store Amazon return, I was told I would have to pay $21 to return- MORE THAN HALF THE COST OF ITEM. Just trying to get an exchange (original price $32.99). Reached out to Amazon, but was told exchange isn’t available for this item. Seller says nothing they can do as shipped by Amazon.

The product works and totally looks cool, but I think mine is a little bent? It still opens and closes, but it's a bit of a struggle. I'm not sure if it was on my end or from delivery or what.
