It's super cute and the animals are really small. I bought for my 5 year old but still I don't let them play alone as its a choking hazard... so if your kids are small the animals are super cute and super small that a kid would tempt to eat it. It's not mentioned anywhere that it's BPA free and it comes with a plasticy smell. I hope I helped.
