A World Full of Spooky Stories: 50 Tales to Make Your Spine Tingle (Volume 4) (World Full of..., 4)

Whoa, these are strange stories. Far too graphic and violent for our 4 year-old, and probably too scary for kids younger than 10. One of the stories is similar to Cinderella, except that the step mother sends the step daughter into the forest to get fire from a witch (certain death, apparently) and "Cinderella's" father does not know where they live. The girl survives the witch, brings fire back to the house in the form of a flaming skull (that ends up burning down the house and the step-mother and sisters inside). And then the girl's father finds her and they live happily ever after. Or something like that-- bizarre, moral-less and generally poorly written.

My sister in law is a spooky gal and is currently pregnant with twins. Her baby shower invite requested books instead of cards and this was PERFECT. I flipped through it when it arrived and now I want to buy one for my son (for me, let’s be real). The artwork is so cool and the stories are great. SIL loved it and said she plans to display it in their nursery.

My 2 elementary age kids love this book. The stories are spooky and I think that's exactly what keeps their attention. It's also very nice to have a variety of new stories from different cultures that were lessen known. Some of the stories can be a bit scary, so I would not recommend it for 6 yrs old or younger.

My kids loved this book! We took turns reading a story from it and they didn’t want to stop! We have kids from 3.5 up to 14.5 and they all loved it.

This book exceeded my expectations, it is BEAUTIFUL. I expected a little hard cover book, but the art is exceptional and the quality is 10 out of 10.My best friends daughter is obsessed with spooky things much like myself and I am so excited to give this to her on Christmas. If you are looking for a good book of spooky stories for someone creepy in your life, this is it!

Beautiful artwork with classic pieces of literature written appropriately for smaller children. Just spooky enought for my 5 year old without scaring the pants off of him 🖤

Our grandson loved this book...he's into scary tight now and studying different cultures. This was super!

I wanted to get my four year old a gift for Halloween and this was the perfect book! It is firstly a beautiful looking book, brilliant quality and beautiful illustrations both inside and out. It was also a great pick as it has so many different stories inside just the right length to keep little ones engaged and listening before bed time. You can keep reading the book every night as you can read a different story every night as there are so many so its really great value for money.

Another superb Angela McAllister book.. only sad we've almost finished. My son loves these stories which suit children who love all things scary. Great illustrations too. Keep em coming, Angela.

Fascinating selection of fairy tales from around the world. Thoroughly enjoyed it with my 6-year old. It's a high quality print as well and will make a nice present.
