Do I need to buy something else to install this?

If you already have the soft top that includes the bar across the tailgate, you are set. If you do not have a soft top, you will need to purchase the bar that goes across the tailgate because the tonneau uses this for installation.

Does this need the oem tailgate bar?

Yes, you will need to use your OEM soft top tailgate bar for the Smittybilt Tonneau Cover. I don’t know if there is another bar that can be used for it. My OEM soft top tailgate bar from the rear soft top window works great with the cover.. I really like my Smittybilt Tonneau Cover on my 2019 Jeep JLU Rubicon.

What is the color of this tonneau? It appears charcoal in the pics. Our interior is black, will this match?
