I read the instructions to my husband as he performed the programming, it helped to have us working together. Programmed correctly the first try. Very happy to have this fob, especially considering what the manufacturer wanted to charge.

Our 05 4 runner did not come with remotes :( and did not want the expense of getting and having programmed thru a dealer . Watched a couple utube videos and decided to give it a try. They come with a website to access for programming instructions..easy to do and both work perfectly! Don't hesitate..working for us.

Seem to be a quality product, hopefully time will prove that correct. I chose this one because of the reviews on others issues with the panic button being too easy to set off. This one appears to have a better set up for that. Programming is easy although i did have to change the battery in one of the fobs before it would work. Otherwise, they work as advertised. Would recommend/buy again.

I am going to be continuing to attempt to program these remotes. I have over 10x atempts to program to my 2001 T4R. SUPER FRUSTRATING!!!The included programming instructions refer to a website that sells remotes, but it IS NOT THE SELLERS WEBSITE. There is virtually NO CUSTOMER SERVICE with this seller.ALSO, be sure to review the return policy on these premium priced replacement remotes... Went by someone's review saying they watched a youtube video. It didn't work for me for whatever reason. Went to product website and got their step by step instructions. It took a few more tries. Do EVERY step as it says and you're golden. It's nice to not need to repeat all the steps if you buy a two pack. Only have to repeat last couple steps. Hopefully it stays working for a long time! Will be great to not need to walk to drivers side door with key every time I haul my heavy work bag to car and it needs to go in passenger side door in negative temps. Something we take for granted until we don't have the convenience. So excited to have the convenience again.

[UPDATE] Only one key will work at a time. Once you activate one, the other becomes deactivated. This might be an issue with my car. So only one remote works at a time. The good news is that I only need one key fob.I normally don’t write reviews but I thought this might help some folks trying to buy this item for their 4Runner.First don’t follow the instructions on remotesremotes.com. They don’t work for 4Runner. I would’ve paste a link to the YouTube video I used for instructions but I don’t want people to misconstrue that for me advertising a YouTube channel.Both keys worked fine and I was able to program them for my 4Runner within minutes.Please don’t read negative reviews from folks that can’t follow simple instructions or maybe their car alarm system has issues. These key fobs worked for my 2005 Toyota 4Runner.
