Watercolor Wherever You Are: Flowers

Love the Other Books by Thunder Bay, but this one is a FAIL
I have the other paint with water books by Thunder Bay Press and love them. This one, however is NOT GOOD. The paints are so faint that if you want ANY color at all you have to keep applying... and then the paper tears. I actually just scrapped the paint pages and used regular watercolors to see if that would be any better. Well you don't need quite as much water to get color so obviously thee was less of a chance that the paper would pebble and tear, BUT it still does not take water well.I am so disappointed in this book and honestly it might be better as a fire starter.

Watercolor book
Pretty design pages but the paints don’t last long on the pallets

Great independent activity for dementia patients
Bought for my elderly mother who has dementia. She loves painting with this book. Great independent activity for her.

Don't waste your money.
Literally just buy one of those cheap kid's watercolor books with the little paint circles on the pages if you're thinking about getting this. It's about the same quality, and a third the price. They didn't bother to even try and make the paper suitable for watercolor. It's basically printer paper, and the paint sheets are terrible. Hardly any paint on each one, and it's wretched quality anyway. Such a waste.

I’m learning a lot!
I always wanted to try watercolors, and I love flowers. I’ve completed 4 already and have learned a lot about wetness, dryness, mixing, shading and being careful already. And how much better it looks if you leave white space. The paint included is skimpy, but the colors are pretty. On the third day I went and bought a small paint set with 18 colors, and I like using that better, but I find myself still using the included colors too. There are 20 pictures in the book to paint, and a few pages of text. I’m learning by doing.I’m retired and mostly staying quarantined, so I have the time to play around and learn, and later I can decide if I want to really pursue painting. For me, it’s the perfect introduction..

Don't waste your money!
The paper is extremely thin and the water spreads beyond the lines. The watercolor quality is horrendous, as well. I wouldn't even recommend this for children. I bought this in person, so I wasted 15 dollars.
