Great Battery for my Ducati.
I have been going through lead acid batteries every other year. This Shorai is going 3 years now and still works perfect. Charged it 3 times. Just make sure to monitor it in the beginning. If it drops below 12.1 v it needs a charge. I use Hota RC heli 4s liPo charger and its great. Had to make a cable for it though. I dont think my bike draws any or minimal current so I leave it attached all winter. It can balance cells as well. I think this combo will last a long long time.

Better then Ballistic!
So far this battery is blowing my previous 4 Ballistic batteries out of the water. This has yet to fail in my Buell 1125CR and is still super light. I went through 4 of the other brands due to them not having enough power, burning up, or losing their charge completely within 2 weeks of idle sitting. This battery has sat without being touched for 2 weeks and fired the bike right up. I am very happy with this battery so far. It is also cheaper than the other brand.UPDATE 2/6/17- Had a series fail inside the battery. Sent it to Shorai for repair, they could not repair it but stood by the warranty and offered a 50% discount on a new battery. I told them I couldn't afford a new one at this time so they offered to send a reconditioned battery for free. Great customer service.

Dead battery on arrival
When my battery arrived, it would not take a charge. I purchased the appropriate lithium battery charger and the battery would not take, or hold a charge. Battery had less than 5 Volts on arrival and would not come back to life. Money down the drain.

Excellent battery
I use this battery to start a 360 in.³ engine. This is my third one as I replace it every five years for preventative maintenance. I’ve never had a single problem. I still have the previous 2 batteries that I use to start a riding, lawnmower, and generator. I use the Shori battery charger/maintainer, when not in use as sometimes it will be a month to six weeks between starts

It was great while it lasted
I was tired of replacing my lead-acid batteries on my motorcycle every two years or so. I was also tired of struggling to get the bike started on cold mornings. From what I gathered, these batteries (and this brand) was the solution...and it was... for about two months. I almost want to say that maybe I got a lemon and give it the benefit of doubt because I've never had my bike start on the first crank so consistently. In fact, I was considering purchasing Shorai lithium iron batteries for my other bikes. Everything worked so good until.. it didn't.Pros:Super light (it almost feels like a toy!)Easy to install since it's smaller and lighter (the product comes with plenty of padding to fill in the gaps)Super reliable cold starts (turn the lights on first for a minute or so on cold days)Cons:Durability - I installed this early October. The battery is fully discharged (~6.4 volts).I've requested an RMA.

Works Great
I installed this in my '81 CBX 1000. When the battery showed up it looked like a small house alarm battery. I wasn't sure what to expect, but this little battery cranks and cranks and continues to crank! Like many vintage motorcycles my CBX is very cold blooded and requires a lot of cranking if not started every day. This battery only weighs 2 lbs and replaced my 15 lb battery! The packaging included a foam kit to fill in the space in the battery box. It is expensive but so far appears to be well worth the extra cost.

great battery, but the terminals were in the opposite ...
great battery, but the terminals were in the opposite position of the stock battery, so I had to install it backwards... weird, but it was great once in.

No more lead acid burns on frame!
First things first, make sure you go the website and plug in your make and model of your bike! After you've got the right one, next is make sure your bike's voltage regulator is good to go! I had the 1st lithium battery from Shorai over charge and melt a bit while I was on a ride! Turns out my voltage regulator was faculty on my 98' Ducati Monster. I filed for a replacement through the Shorai website, then a few days later I got a call, and received a new battery a week later!About 5 months later the new battery is working great! cold cranks; no problem!Lithium ion is the way to go!
