So, I treated myself to a new cast iron frying pan and wanted somewhere to hang it. It's quite heavy, so I needed something strong.A lot of the pot hangers looked very flimsy, but this one appeared to be sturdy.I'm pleased to say it is.The hanger comes in 3 different sizes.40cm, 80cm and 120cm.They are all modular, with the difference being extra 40cm bars depending on which size you choose. (Photo 2).I ordered the 120cm, although, in the end, I only used 2 of the bars, so mine is 80cm wide.To put it up, with hindsight, I think the best way is the following:Drill and screw one of the bases in position.Then build the whole bar, screw everything tight, mark the holes for the other base, then drill and secure into position.I did it the following way, which made everything more difficult than it needed to be:I measured, and put the 2 bases on first, then built the bar. It was a real faff trying to get the bar to meet/tighten in the middle, but, either way, when it is up, with everything tight, it does feel rock solid.The threads on the bars are all the same direction, it's a shame they aren't a left thread and a right thread on opposite ends, as you could then tighten both ends as you turned the bar, but it still works fine.I'm pleased to say that the fixings that come with it are very good.So often, the screws supplied are awful, but even with an impact driver on high setting, the heads didn't deform at all.(A note on fixing. It comes with screws and rawlplugs which are absolutely fine if you are drilling into a solid wall, however, if like me, you are securing to a plaster board wall, and you are going to be hanging heavy items off of it, then I would use proper plasterboard/drywall fixings.)When it's up it looks very smart, (Photo 1), it has a matt black finish, which on mine was consistent all over.The bar itself sits 12cm (5 inches) from the wall, so hanging even quite bulky items is easy.The 10 hooks it came with are the same colour and seem good and strong.Overall, I'm very happy, it has certainly achieved its purpose and I would happily purchase again.I hope you found this review helpful.

Used it as a utensil rack behind the AGA. Looks fantastic and is strong enough to hold all my utensils and a couple of pans. Really great design.

Strong and easy to assemble, shame the powder coating is so poor. Put together in 3 minutes, wall mounted in 15. One 3 inch strip where the power coating spray did not reach, and guess what - it ended up on the front on the rack. Don’t let thus put you off because when it is up, it looks great.

A nice feature, very strong and robust, could do with a little paint touch up near the fixings

I ordered the smallest size to hang a cumbersome pan on as it was a heavy thing to store. I’m very pleased with how much space it has and number of supplied hooks. It looks fabulous and I love the style of it. I am extremely pleased with this, all round. I would consider buying it to use in other ways, like as a hanging rail.
