Aesop's Fables (Apple Classics)

I bought the kindle edition so that I can have some good stories to tell my 3 yo at bedtime and he totally loves these. I don't read these directly to him but read them myself first and turn them into more animated versions that keeps him engaged. A great collection of short stories with great lessons to learn.

My 4 year old daughter enjoys these stories. At the end of the fable, I explain to her "the moral of the story" and maybe she understands, maybe not but at least she becomes a little more open minded.

Aesop’s Fables by Ann McGovern includes over 60 short retellings of fables written by Aesop. They are easy and quick to read. It is fun to see where so many things in our every day speech came from. I highly recommend this set of fables to elementary to middle school aged children.

Not a great option for a 4 year-old. The black and white pictures did not hold her attention. Maybe when she's older she will enjoy it more.

Sories are watered down to single pages. It seems many details are left out. A good book for those younger children just past the starting to read milestone, but wouldn't suggest for anyone past that point.

Great to use in the classroom. The students enjoy trying to figure out the morale (lesson) of each fable.

Grandchild liked it.
