Dakine Wrist Guards Low Profile Wrist Protection Pair

I can usually teeter between medium and large gloves, a medium when I want a tighter fit, but these fit pretty small. Ordered the large and it's too restrictive causing my hands to cramp. Quality feels great and seems to be well made, just a tad small. I gave the smaller pair to my girl and ordered myself an XL pair.

If you don’t have someone to pay your bills this is great at making sure you keep your wrist safe

I got these for snowboarding. When ordering make sure you buy one size larger than what you think you need. The size chart says my hand would fit a large, so I bought a Xtra large and it fits me great. It does make it harder to hold things like a GoPro on a selfie stick, but it's still usable. Thats the price you pay for added protection.

Fit was good and I like that they are slim enough to fit under a normal pair of gloves.I wore these snowboarding and on my first crash hurt my left wrist. These do a good job of preventing hyperextension but the large metal brace dug into my palms. At first I thought it might of just been a fluke but on the 2nd fall it did the same thing. Both falls were nothing serious. I have been snowboarding a long time falling all the time and have never had this happen so I blame the wrist guards.

Bought these for snowboarding. I only use them if I'm working on a new trick in the park. They're not the most comfortable if you use your hands a lot or want to use your phone. They're thick so you'll need to size up on gloves to go over them. If you want to wear them over glove liners make sure you accommodate that when measuring for your size.Didn't get used as much as intended because they aren't as comfortable as expected.

I love this set and it fits so well, great quality so far.

Update: wore them twice while snowboarding. I decided to wear them without liners as it was too hard to get my mitten on with the liners and the braces. The braces are really snug to get on, but not too tight once on. Love them and don't even notice them while riding. I tried riding without them a few times, but regretted it when I fell. I won't ride without them now and I'm trying to convince my husband to get some. I store them in my coat's inner mesh pocket when I'm not riding.I haven't tested them on the mountain yet, but they seem great so far. I wear a men's small Dakine mitten with liner (and possibly a women's large mitten, but that wasn't available). I purchased this brace in a medium and it fits well. So, it seems like you would go up one size from whatever men's size glove/mitten you wear. It does seem like it will rub the webbing of my thumb and pointer finger, so I tried the liners under it and that was better. It fits under my mit just fine and I think I won't notice the brace when I'm snowboarding. I will update this review if anything changes.

I didn't realize that this would be too bulky to work with Gloves.Works better with mittens

Bought it for snowboarding. It does provide a certain protection for the thumb and a wrist. Not 100%, but about 50% I’d say it does.User Must to fit it really tight, otherwise the wrist and thumb is loose. This in return stops blood circulation in your hand. So, was tightening it just before going down a slope and loosening up once at the bottom. That worked a trick. Still managed to straining my thumb, but can’t imagine what it would be without protection

Have used these dakine wrist guards for years, unbeatable value. Gives me a lot of comfort when I'm on the slopes.Having just taught my wife to snowboard I wanted to get her a set too.Fitted perfectly over many sets of gloves/MIT's.

impressed with these for the cost. I wanted to try a set to protect my wrist even though I'm not a beginner and after the initial couple of hours getting used to the restricted movement I got on well with them and would recommend.

This is too small in 2 respects:1. it is advertised as small man's. I am a small woman and it is extremely tight on me. It would be more appropriately sized as medium youth, or extra small woman. This means that after only a short time riding you are left with marks.2. The protection is too short, it only extends a very short a way up the wrist and should be 1.5-3 cm longer. One of the leading trauma research doctors in France was very vocal in pointing out that it was too short.Very disappointing from such a well known brand.

Bought these for snowboarding. Very well made although a little tight. I have small hands (size 7 gloves) I ordered a small and they are extremely snug. Please remember though, you may have to get gloves over them too so don't order them too big.
