Dandy carrying strap
I bought this strap for use with the Manfrotto 055XB tripod I ordered. That tripod has a hook on the tripod head support for hanging a stabilizing weight and this seemed a perfect fit. However the tripod turned out to be too heavy for me to carry on long hikes and I ended up returning it and buying the Gitzo Basalt tripod in its place. That tripod does not have a permanent hook attachment on the head support. I thought this was a lost purchase because I had no place to attach the ring part of this strap. However it turned out to be easy to make a fabric loop which I could attach to an inexpensive metal hook. I then was able to attach the ring to that hook, attach the other end to the legs and was ready to go. Having done that, this is a great little carrying strap. There is plenty of padding to make carrying the tripod easy and I can leave it attached at the ring when I open the leg strap and use the tripod. It makes carrying the tripod on long hikes much easier and I am not tempted to leave the camera on the tripod and put the whole assembly over my shoulder.

Great strap!
Strap works great. I got this to attach to my tripod so I didn't have to keep carrying it around. The loop at the bottom works well to wrap around the legs and hold snug. Just make sure that you adjust the strap properly or depending on your tripod it could slide off the bottom. I have let this happen, but if I am careful about setting it up correctly, it works great. The strap itself is very cushy making it easy to carry your tripod for hours. Love it!

Quality ok; limited usefulness
The idea seemed better than the execution. I've used mine for about a month. What I wanted was a way to sling my tripod over my back so I could take hand-held while walking around, then grab the tripod. The biggest problem is that no matter what angle I try to carry my Manfrotto 055, it either gets in the way of my camera or does not permit me to squat down for lower-perspective shots. If I position the tripod for best walking comfort, the head is pointed down and would bang into the ground if I were to kneel or squat. Really, I only see this as useful for when your hands are full and you need to carry the tripod to a specific location for a shoot. As far as being able to hand-hold the camera and have the tripod handy while shooting and walking, I'd love to see some of the happy customers here post some shots showing their setup. The quality is fine, like a good camera strap; however, the asymmetrical shape of the neckstrap makes finding the right position even more difficult--without adding to the comfort.

Good strap. Some room for refinement, but better than what some others have said.
Reading a couple of the customer reviews for this OP/TECH USA tripod strap I was concerned about its quality. I found three areas where other reviewers simply did not know what they were talking about. Here is what I observed: 1. It is plainly stated in the package that the strap is "Made in the U.S.A." 2. There are at least seven stitches attaching the strap to the shoulder pad. Without ripping it apart one can't say for sure what the construction is, but it is at least that good. 3. I could adjust it to go diagonally across my back with the pad positioned well on my shoulder. Overall I like this strap but there are a few areas for possible improvement, IMHO. 1. The quick-releases are flat but are part of something that wraps around. I think I would like it better to have something that curved with the circumference. 2. Wherever there is excess strap it just hangs loose. It would be nice to have something to tidy up the excess strap. 3. It is a monkey business when using the diagonal configuration to put on and take off. A quick release on the main strap could be handy.

An essential accessory for the Manfrotto 190CXPro4 tripod.
Excellent strap. It attaches, fits, and works perfectly with my Manfrotto 190CXPro4 tripod. As any photographer knows, a good tripod can be essential for taking sharp pictures possible with modern, high resolution cameras and lenses, especially in low light conditions or with long lenses; however, no tripod works properly if you don't have it with you. This strap is long enough to use across my chest with the tripod hanging stably and effortlessly on my side/back. Importantly, the strap is very easily attached and removed so my tripod is always conveniently available to set up and use.. It's one of those relatively rare products that "just works."

Great way to carry a tripod in the field
Wasn't sure how much I would like this but I do. I do a fair amount of hiking and wanted an easier way to carry my standard-size aluminum Manfrotto tripod than by hand. Strap makes hiking over rough terrain much easier and safer. It uses same robust connectors as my OP/TECH camera strap. Strap collars easily and quickly clip and unclip around both ends of tripod, It comfortably hangs over my shoulder even when wearing my camera backpack. It weighs nothing.

The perfect solution for carrying my tripod
I have a Slik Pro model tripod...the big, heavy version, and as I often hike or walk distances to my photo locations, I needed an elegant way to carry along with my photo backpack. This strap is universal (no hook and eyelet needed) lightweight, and it works...and then there is no bag to stow or move at the location...and I can move/balance the tripod as I trek to a shoot. Great, inexpensive solution.

Does what it says, comfy to boot
The swivel clip is sturdy and conveniently attaches to the ring on the shoulder of my Manfrotto 055XPROB tripod. Don't you just hate it when those clips snap off because the metal is too slim? Not here. The other reviews of the stretchy Op/tech neoprene is true, it does feel lighter on my shoulder. Out of the box, it seems that the easiest way to sling the tripod is almost vertically with the head down. Trying to sling it any other way may be a bit difficult since the leg loop may slide up and down the legs unless the loop is very tight or trapped in between the leg sections.

There are cheaper options to Op-Tech ,and there are much more expensive one's.I have foolishly gone with the cheap as chips options, and quickly regretted it ( poor design, rubbish materials ) and if money no object is not an option for you, then Op-Tech is probably the best . It's functional, well made, lightweight and most importantly does the job it's designed for. I started out several years ago with an Op-Tech sliding shoulder strap for my heavy Nikon D7000 ( with Zoom lens ) which has proved superb in use.I've since bought several other Op-Tech products and all are equally well made and thoughtfully designed. This Tripod strap is perfect for my relatively heavy Giottos/Manfrotto Tripod combo, easily clipping to each end and then sitting comfortably vertically or horizontally over my shoulder. Great. Just the job.

Good comfy strap. Well built with nice padding. Doesn't slide around. Fits my 4-leg manfrotto well.
