China Rain Perfume Oil-1/3 oz. Roll-On

I stumbled on the Body Time shop in Califormia on business around 1992. I absolutely fell in love with China Rain, and have been buying it ever since. It is one of those fragrances where strangers stop you on the street to ask what you are wearing because they love it. The quality from Body Time is always wonderful. Thank you.

I have been buying China Rain from Body Time for a few years now. When I went on to search for the Body Time website, I saw that it was also sold on Amazon.com. It is listed on Amazon as China Rain from Body Time, but that isn't what was shipped. The roll on bottles were labelled with a home made typed label 'China Rain', and the shipping invoice has a disclaimer that 'THIS ITEM IS IN NO WAY CONNECTED TO MANUFACTURERS, DISTRIBUTORS, OR OWNERS OF THE DESIGNER ORIGINAL FRAGRANCES OR COMPANIES'. It's also pink and the product I've received in the past has no color. I thought that maybe I overlooked something in the listing, but it is listed as China Rain from Body Time with a link to Body Time in the listing. I am disappointed as I am out of it and was looking forward for it to arrive. If you are selling a knockoff fragrance that should be clearly stated in the listing.

I only use China Rain from Body Time. It smells just like the origional! I get many compliments on it and have given it as gifts. Everyone loves it!It is concentrated and lasts a long time. I highly recommend this fragrance oil if you are a big lover of China Rain.

Okay - I gave the vendor props for fast shipping and, thinking I had the right product, gave them a "high five" score. -- Things have changed since then: The picture, which reflects a "Body Time" label is WHY I ordered it. I was planning to tuck it in a gift package to a friend. However, before I could do so, I ran out of China Rain and opened the package, which is distributed by a boutique so I could use it, and would get the friend something else. -When I saw the label was not "Body Time," I initially thought the vendor had purchased China Rain and was selling under a different label. Well, if this is Body Time China Rain, either I have a cold, Body Time has changed the formula or this is a "knock off." This stuff has a very unappealing scent (which I am trying to wash off me) and I am unable to wear it. -- I will check with Body Time to see if they have changed their formula and, if not, I will be ordering from them. I'll have to toss this and be more careful next time. (Really glad I did not send this to my friend as I doubt she would like it either).

The smell is lovely but so subtle you can barely smell it. I would not buy again in the oily roll one but would look for a spray one with a bit stronger scent.

After such rave reviews I was expecting something a little more subtle so I am slightly disappointed. The fragrance is decent but it's not subtle at All It is pretty strong: Earthy, Green, Aquatic, and Floral. I wish I could smell things before purchasing on Amazon. It's okay but I will not reorder.

I applied this oil at 4:00 PM and am still able to appreciate the fragrance at 12 midnight. I haven't had that kind of luck with a scented oil in a very long time, so I was pleasantly surprised.A question was raised as to whether or not the oil offered here is the real Body Time or not. I can't speak to that, not having sampled Body Time's fragrances before, be they real or knock-offs. All I can say is that the China Rain I got is soft, yet noticeable enough for people to have commented on how much they like it.I personally like flowery fragrances, but with some of them, the initial scent is so strong that they resemble home or auto fragrances than perfume. Not the case with this oil. The scent of this China Rain oil is light, fresh and clean. It makes me think of breezy summer mornings.The softness of it would make me want to wear it with a flowy silky or satiny garment.I hope that the makers of this fragrance continue to be consistent in the preparation of this formula. If they are, I'd have no problems purchasing it regularly.

I just received my China Rain and it was in fact shipped by Body Time in Berkely, CA. The scent is the same as offered years ago (an acquaintance has worn this scent for many years). A little does go a long way and lasts. I have received many compliments :-) Great Scent!
