Nurse Seal of Approval. 5 out of 5!
The media could not be loaded. This is a fantastic little EDC flashlight. I carry this light everywhere with me, from state-to-state trips to my RN job. I have had this one for about 10 months and only bought it to replace my Olight Baton S2R (that I thought was broken and gave it to my dad because he wanted it... turns out it only needed a new charger).I've been a nurse for five years. Working night shift, it's become a philosophy of mine to always carry a capable flashlight with me. On the job, my primary use for this light is illuminating a small area in a patient's room without disturbing the patient or nearby patients by turning on direct overhead lights. This flashlight has a magnetic base that allows me to attach it to the railing between the ceiling tiles and then perform whatever task I need to do. During my time in this career, I've also picked up and mastered tricks like using a light to find and mark veins for venipuncture and IV catheterization when more sophisticated technology like ultrasound is not available. In my experience, using this flashlight method is about 60-80% successful when I cannot palpate or visualize a suitable vein.PROS:1. Mode Options and Simplicity of UseThis light has a single button. I've had other high-end brands of flashlights but so far Olight is the most user-friendly and simplistic. When the light is OFF, one short press turns on LOW mode. While the light is on LOW mode, holding the button down for a moment steps up the brightness to MEDIUM mode. Another long press steps up the brightness to MAX mode. One more long press cycles the light back to LOW mode. Two short presses from OFF or any mode turns the light on to MAX mode. Three short presses from OFF or any mode turns the light to STROBE mode. When the light is OFF, one long press activates MOONLIGHT mode which a very low brightness mode (one of my favorites for when I just need enough light to navigate a dark room or hallway but not enough to wake everybody up).2. Battery MeterThe button itself has a secondary function as a battery indicator. While the light is on any mode (except MOONLIGHT mode), the button will shine either GREEN, YELLOW, or RED. Of course, GREEN is high battery charge, YELLOW is medium battery charge, and RED is low battery charge. The battery lasts a good while. I've maybe had to fully charge this light five or six times in the 10 months I've had it. I love the magnetic charger even though it's very proprietary. It's USB, compact, and easy to pack into my work bag. I even lost the other battery it came with because of how much I don't need it!3. Non-Tactical BezelThe bezel on this light is a nice metallic-blue color that matches the metal around the button and the pocket clip. It has some small text that reads "COOL WHITE 2000LUMEN." However, the most important feature for me is that it lacks one of those "tactical bezels." This bezel is flat all the way around which allows me to place the light flush against a person's skin, preventing light from bleeding around the bezel and interfering with what I can visualize when I'm looking for a vein.4. Light SpreadThe flashlight has a flat clear lens with a polished conical reflector. The bulb itself is cylindrical and appears to be some kind of frosted polymer. This causes the light to spread but not too much. If you're looking for an EDC flashlight that can really throw light, this probably isn't the one you want. This light will spread and is perfect for illuminating dark indoor areas. As a bonus, this helps with my vein-finding technique. Using a focused, non-diffuse beam causes light that enters the tissue to go deep and then you're left with no light coming back out around where you press the lens. A focused beam also gets hotter faster.5. Size/WeightThe flashlight has an all-metal case but I think that it works very well with the physical dimensions of the light. It has a sturdy feel to it yet it's light enough (pun intended) to use as an EDC. It's not bulky either, occupying a minimal amount of pocket real estate.6. Magnetic BaseThe base is magnetic and will attach to many different surfaces for handsfree illumination. I do wish the magnet was just a little bit stronger but it works just fine. I've used it on my car's hood when I'm working in the engine bay, I've used it to pick up tiny metal items, I've used it light up my work area. The applications are endless.CONS:1. The Pocket ClipI appreciate the idea of a detachable clip that lets the user carry this flashlight in a lens-up OR lens-down position, however, this is an example of "great idea, poor execution." I carry this light lens up because it leaves the least amount of the flashlight body hanging out of my pocket. On the other hand, this leaves the open end of the lens-down clip exposed and ANYTHING can catch the lip of the clip. It seems to be particularly attracted to straps. My heavy work bag strap has found the clip many many times and, as you can see from the pictures, has ultimately bent the clip outward. It's fixable by taking the clip off and using some pliers to clamp the clip back to a fully-closed position but I've messed it up so many times, it's not worth it anymore. The Olight Baton S2R had a single-direction clip that also served as a sort of lockout by being able to rotate around and cover the button, preventing the light from being accidentally turned on. That was a much better design for a pocket clip.2. Wear of FinishesThe body of the light has a black coating that is fairly susceptible to wear. Bear in mind that my flashlight has seen some heavy use in the 10 months I've had it. The wear is not a big deal to me but it may be to some. The button also has some sort of paint or coating that's supposed to keep the indicator light underneath as just a pinpoint. Unfortunately, some of that paint/coating has worn off over time and allows that green indicator light to shine through. Again, not a big deal to me but may be to you.3. Post-drop Function IssueOccasionally, I'll accidentally drop the flashlight on a hard surface and it won't turn on when I push the button. I've learned that all I have to do is slightly tighten the base and it's operational again. By "slightly" I mean such a small amount of movement, that even if the base already feels tight, I keep twisting. I wouldn't necessarily pin this on a function issue, but it's barely something I'd complain about. The flashlight has maintained all of its original integrity and water-resistance.Overall, I highly recommend this flashlight. It's a fantastic EDC and as a nurse, a wonderful tool to have when you're on the job.

Great light and battery life, but....
Great light and battery. I love the magnetic charge port design. But there is one major physical design flaw! The belt clip is positioned in such a way that the lens is facing upwards and totally exposed. Meaning walking around with the flashlight in your pocket the top/lens is out and bang around objects you encounter.

Great Olight for the price I got it for.
This is a great flashlight for the price I got it for. It does go to 2200 lumins. My only concern was when I switched over to 2200 the flashlight got very warm very quickly, and I’m not sure if it is made to do that or not. That being said, I have had no malfunctions with it so I will keep on with this flashlight. Overall I’m quite pleased with it.

A great gift
A very nice pocket size not too big. I prefer a tail button.

Absolute beast of a flashlight!
Love the Olight brand and their durability. My Baton Pro was in the glove box when I hydroplaned and wrapped my truck around a tree, and several months after the wreck, my son cut the door and other crumpled metal off to get to what was in the glove box, and the Olight was the only thing that survived that impact that wasn't papers in there, albeit with some gouges and scratches, but I still use it everyday.
