I can’t say enough good things, this book is so relevant and has so much more info that’s better and current and as a makeup lover I appreciate the insight, tips, product comparisons and detailed info w great pics, I keep trying to buy more of these as gifts bc it’s such a better book

I bought this used but looks brand new. So much information in a very creative and fun layout. It capsulizes on the many designers pivitol points and inspirations. More information than I had expected. It isn't a book that makes you feel like you must buy a zillion products to look nice. Great tips. Well sectioned. It doesn't matter if you are a make up artist or just someone wanting to learn a variety of techniques. this is really good.

this book is ok, but as we all know beauty products are updated constantly and in a year or two this book will be obsolete.the tips and tricks on how to do ur make up are very basic and i would suggest this for a young girl learning how to do their makeup when they start to go out with their friends more often.the styles of makeup are very simple and easy to do and arent hard to master.the tips they had about how to look after your tools and little tricks about applying make up were super useful and i really appreciated that part of the book.over all not the best makeup book, it was more like a product catalogue.

This book is very educational esp to those who don’t wear makeup everyday. I would share it with my daughter . It’s helpful in shopping for the quality makeup and tools. In the long run, this book will help your save money. No need to experiment on different brands coz everything has been suggested here. I would highly recommend !

Very happy with this book, bright colored glossy pics, lots of info. If your a lover of SEPHORA, like me, then you will love this book. I really like this book because I am a regular at sephora stores and the employees are very helpful and knowledgeable. I feel this book gives you a lil more insight to their products etc. If your a make up beginner, definitely get this book and visit this book. I don't think you will be disappointed.

I bought book used but it said good condition but pages started falling out within days. It was a good book but a bit outdated. I wish someone would make an updated version.

This is so cheap compared to buying at full price in store. It came in almost perfect condition. I’m very happy.

For claiming to be the "Ultimate Guide to Makeup...", this book falls pretty short. It reads more like an infomercial for Sephora than an informative guide. I'd say roughly 2/3 of it's content could be shaved off to no negative effect. For example, one section details the activities of a Sephora sales associate at work (including a bit about organizing a display case). Several pages are devoted to surprisingly similarly worded quotes pertaining to the meaning of beauty. The only useful information this book provides can be found in the VERY basic (again, this claims to be an "Ultimate Guide") makeup/hair/skin care technique section and the final section dealing with nutritional science.Bottom line, while Sephora is an excellent retail source for cosmetics, I would not suggest purchasing this book if you have any makeup related skill beyond that of a twelve year old.
