Q: Hi, does the lockconform to British Standard Certification.

Not really sure but recently had a locksmith in to sort out another lock and he had just fitted the same thumb turn on his door.

Can't remember the exact measurement but from personal experience I would recommend one that is about 40 mm too long because that gives you more clearance when turning the key and stops you bashing your knuckles on the handles it also makes it easier to find the keyhole in the dark because it's projecting past the handle if it's too long and being longer on the inside is only a bonus you cannot get one that is too short for the thinnest because the smallest one fits the thinnest possible door available Measure the thickness of the door and add an additional 50 mm to the lock size and the size is the distance of the barrel not including the twist handle size

You have to turn the tumblers twice like ‘double locking’ you can feel when the tumblers turn over...works fine!
