Decent Book
This is a good book if you are interested in SEALs or joking this elite group; it really is a must have. But the only downfall to this book is how he is always talking about how great he is (Marcinko) and how crappy everyone else is. This type of verbiage goes on through out the entire book. The problem that I have with the SEALs is this, they get 9 weeks of Land Warfare while other Special Forces/Operations receive 2 years to 4 years of Land Warfare training and implementation. But according to them they know it all. I had several friends from the Marines that served in Iraq to Rangers that served in Afghanistan and they all have their stories to tell about SEALs getting themselves in tough positions and have to be rescued out. This happens several times...So if your interested in the SEALs then get this book and I would highly recommend it to those interested in that elite group but for anyone else don’t bother...just inflated ego

In 1990, Marcinko was sentenced to prison for 21ths and fined $10,000 for his role in a mission that exposed security lapses.
But in 1990, Marcinko was sentenced to prison for twenty one months and fined $10,000 for his role in a mission that exposed security lapses at sensitive military installations and actually served 15 months of the sentence! The charge was, “defrauding the government over the price of contractor acquisitions for hand grenades”.Marcinko maintains that he was singled out for prosecution because of the high level of embarrassment that he caused high ranking Navy officials. You'll love it! All true stories, He is a good author, Trust me on this.

I probably shouldn't say this, but...
I was a civilian contractor at an un-named Naval installation when the Red Cell captured the Credit Union (against the 'rules') and if I remember also the McDonald's on base. They infiltrated the base commander's office and left a gift and departed. They were chewed out for breaking the 'rules' to which Dirty Dick indicated that tangos don't play by 'rules.' His telling of the story was not only hilarious, I could actually have walked to most of the places he mentioned and their infil operation was incredibly clever. But I'm sure I'm just making this up and it never really happened. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
