Standard webcam may be good alternative
I have a Logitec C920 webcam that I use the motion detection for my home. It does not have 360 deg Pan or Tilt feature so I purchased this cam.Pros:1) Installation was easy.2) Fery good 4K resolution on still images. Better than my Logitech3) Wireless Connection (still needs power cord)4) 360 deg pan5) Tilt feature6) Remembers Wifi settings and reconnects automatically after power failureCons:1) Zoom is only on recorded video and not on the live shot...at least I have not figured it out if it does function on live video.2) Pan and tilt are somewhat slow and quirky at times. Could be my network, but the feature is slow, delayed, and sometimes non responsive.3) Some blurring on motion images such as a person walking across the room.4) Software could be better. I cannot select multiple pictures or videos for mass deletions.5) Night vision is better when using day feature if you have any lighting at all. Works great with my outdoor porch light on, but washes out with the night vision turned on.6) Motion detection is quite sensitive. It records continuously in my front window because it picks up on the trees.I am keeping this cam, however I would not recommend this if you are serious about your security cam. This is more of a basic budget cam intended for the hobbyist like me that just likes to play around with computer stuff but don't want to dump alot of $ into it. I think I will use this for indoor and my logitec for my front door video (through the window)Have fun and don't expect this to be the same quality as more expensive cams.

Grate camera to talk to your pets kids or family member while you are watching them
Very nice quality camera which is very quick to setup and I am using this for my pet to talk to him when I am out side so that he D’NT feel alone, i tested this from other room and my pet went near the camera and responded according to my voice which is so good .Motion movements capture and picture quality is great ... speaking over camera app is quite impressive and voice is pretty clear like human voice n not some recorded thing

Feature-packed budget camera
I I have amcrest camera 720 pixel for a while. My primary issue is that 720 pixel is not a good resolution and image is pixelated when zoomed in. I got this 4mb camera and it solved this problem.Installation is easy and quick. I would disable the alarm sound since it can be annoying, unless you want to use it to scare off burglar.App is easy to use once you are familiar where things are located. For example, it wasn’t clear at first where the recordings are located (Click on the calendar icon).New feature that i like here is that it allows smart tracking. But since I don’t want to freak out my dog walker, I disabled that function. In terms of alarm notification, I found motion detection and sound to be working well. Note that change in sunlight can trigger motion detection and you need to change the sensitivity. Face detection is not usable as it kept on triggering an alert but there’s no face on the frame at all.I liked how events (eg motion, noise) are recorded based on image snapshot and video. There are also icons to indicate what events were triggered. When you play back the recording, there’s also red area in the timeline to show when the events are triggered.Given the price and the features (apart from face detection), this is a really good deal and I would recommend this.

Great picture quality, excellent features
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Great camera, high quality video footage! I love this camera, I plan on mounting it in my son’s room so that I can keep an eye on him while we’re out of the house doing errands and my oldest babysits. It comes with a two-way microphone option so that I can communicate with him if need be, a motion sensor that alerts me when he moves or wakes up, and other options that I’ve yet to explore fully. It was easy to setup, and comes with everything you need to mount it and connect it to your router for setup.

Primitive software, poor picture quality
I wanted to like this camera/monitor. Seeing the output and being able to control the monitor from a mobile device sounds great. Right away when reading the (amazingly poorly written) instructions I had a sinking feeling. The camera cannot connect to 5 GHz wi-fi; and so whatever device you use, you'll have to use the old 2.4 GHz wi-fi. Strike one.Consequently there are problems with latency when controlling the monitor -- long lag times when panning, tilting, or zooming, which make it hard to control where the camera is pointed; and frustrating delays when listening or talking. Strike two.And the interface is very kludgy. The icons for the video/sound recording, the microphone, etc. are in the way when you need the screen free to pan or tilt or zoom. The prompt for cloud storage -- for which you pay, of course -- is obtrusive and annoying. Strike three. Time to return this and try something else.
