Sooooo many users have leak problems: Manufacturer, please take note!!!!!!!
I believe leaks are caused primarily by the fact that the LOWER fitting (often used for a garden hose connection) is apparently a BSP (British Standard Pipe, or European) thread which is 14 threads per inch, while the USA hose fittings have 11.5 threads per inch--- completely incompatible. It is possible that an NPT pipe thread adapter (3/4 inch female pipe thread on one end & male garden hose thread on the other end) could work on the lower connection. ( NPT threads are also 14 threads per inch with .07143 pitch.)The solution I used was a female quick-connect fitting (plastic, GreenThumb or Gilmour brand) that mates perfectly with the plastic quick-connect fitting sent with the timer. These female plastic quick-connect fittings can be had with either a male or female output end that have the conventional garden hose threads. Be sure to press the quick-connect fittings FIRMLY together to get a good tight o-ring seal. voila'--- water tight!! This method works, since the male plastic quick-connect fitting included with the timer does fit the lower (output end) threads perfectly. Why the manufacturer would send a normal garden hose threaded fitting on the upper connection, and either a BSP or NPT fitting on the outlet (lower) connection, I can't explain, since I would guess more people connect hoses to the timer than BSP or NPT pipe.At least the instructions should clarify that two different thread types are present on the upper and lower connections of the timer unit, and NAME the two connection thread types, so people wouldn't have to reinvent the wheel so to speak, to make it work without squirting the whole neighborhood!!!Another workable solution would be to include the other (female) half of the quick-connect fitting in the package, with the output threads then being the conventional garden hose threaded type.Other than having to spend a day solving the lower connection thread leak mystery, the unit looks like it operates as advertised. Longevity to be determined.Dave Anderson, Prineville, OregonUpdate: Aug. 6, 2020This unit has leaked water into the front of the unit over the past month, making the screen and numbers unreadable, and the clock has apparently stopped running as well. I removed the back cover, and everything inside that chamber is bone dry, and the separate battery compartment was also dry.I suspect the rubber covers over the control buttons leak water into the front chamber which appears to be completely separate from the rear chamber. I don't see any reasonable way to waterproof the front chamber, especially if the water enters around the rubber control button covers as I suspect.I will downgrade my rating to a 1*, as this appears to be a flaw in basic design, with no easy fix in current design. Also, the warranty seems pretty iffy, with no listed contact for service on the warranty, and with the requirement to provide the "warranty card" with dealer stamp affixed along with receipt proof of purchase to obtain service. This is a moot point of course, with no place to contact for warranty service anyway!!!Recommendation: Do Not Buy, until engineering and manufacturing are upgraded to correct these problems.David Anderson, Prineville, OR

100+ PSI AND NO LEAKS !!
Those reviewers with leaks should learn to read a bit closer to sellers info. I live at southern most tip of NY state and our wonderful water travels with 300+ miles of momentum from Catskills Mountains snowmelt and rainfall. As my pic shows, I have 100 psi at my garden hose outlet and I have NO LEAKS! Other reviewers did not comprehend that the outlet of this timer CAN NOT be connected to a garden hose without incurring leaks because as clearly stated, it has 3/4” NPT (National Pipe Thread) threads, NOT 3/4” GHT (Garden Hose Thread) threads ! Just simply screw on a 3/4” npt x 3/4” ght adapter, use new washers and Teflon tape everywhere and you’ll have no problem. My setup includes a vacuum breaker (little black plastic fitting at bottom of timer),and most importantly-a water hammer ( brass item between feeder hose and timer inlet). Hooked up 4 days ago, no problems so far. These nylon fittings can definitely be cranked tighter than typical plastic fittings on Orbit and other mass market timers , so it is def a better construct. Included instructions are quite clear, easy to program. My recommendation is to buy it , don’t bother with the others.

Great Timer but only 4+ Stars
First I need to mention that several reviews say that an extra hose coupling is needed to connect a regular garden hose but one is supplied with the timer. It is packed under the plastic tray holding the timer so don't order an extra one.For the price this is a great timer! The ability to set finer timing adjustments makes this timer much better than most other available timers, but I only give it a 4+ star rating because once it starts a watering cycle it is just a never ending "loop" timer. So to the manufacturer (if they read the reviews) I would suggest the following modification. Do away with the "next irrigation" info (which is really useless information) and replaced it with a "# of cycles" option. The addition of a number of cycles setting would allow it to be programmed to a desired time period. Example: Start Time: 7 AM / How Long: 2 MIN / How Often: 1 HRS / # Cycles: 10. This would allow watering for a desired time period during the day (7 AM to 5 PM when water is needed) but not all night long. Then start the program again at the selected start time the next day.In my opinion this would be a "10 star" timer with this modification.

Flawed Design
Have to reduce to 1 star, bought two, one stopped working in 2 months. After a month of use, I have to downgrade this thing to 2 stars. The software design is very flawed. On the surface they claim it supports any interval from hours to days, well, that's not true. Here is why:So you first set when to start, say 6am, then set how long does the sprinkler turns on, say 15 mins, at last you set how often, say 12 hours, so the sprinkler would turn on 15 mins everyday at 6am and 6pm. So far so good. But that's it, that's all you can do, if you want to go a bit fancy, say I want 6am, 12pm and 6pm, well, you can't, because it would also turn on at midnight 12am! Or, if you say, I want the how often to be 10 hours, so 6am, then 4pm, well, now after the 4pm, the next sprinkler time would be 16+10=2am, then the next one will be 2am+10=12pm. In other words, you can only set the interval to be 12hours or 24 hours, otherwise it'd go crazy after just one day.In most case this is sufficient, but the fact the product advertised that it supports all time interval is deliberate misleading!

Missing one key feature that ruins it all!
So at first I thought this was perfect, but really it's only great if you want to water only once or possibly twice a day (12 hours later). The way you set it up is that it asks you for a start time. Let's say you want to water your new grass at 6am and you want to make sure that seed stays damp, so you want to sprinkle it for 15 minutes every 4 hours until perhaps 6pm. You can't do that. It will go off every 4 hours around the clock. There is no way to say you want it every 4 hours just during the day. I don't it watered again at 10pm and then again at 2am. It's a waste of water.

Riego fiable a tu necesidad.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.

Exactly what I needed!
Love this water timer. I made a few family members buy it as well and they all love it. Super easy to use, comes with extra pieces to ensure the proper fit. I've had this for over a month and it still works perfectly. Love and highly recommend if you're looking for a straight forward water timer.

Excellent timer
Works as described. Leaked a little, but nothing some plumbers tape won't take care of. Very easy to setup. Don't even need a manual. Rain delay function is awesome
