Community and Public Health Nursing: Evidence For Practice PAP/PSC Edition

I needed this book for my BSN course. I was extremely happy with prices that Amazon offers for book purchases and rentals. When I rent, it is super easy to return once I am finished. With my account, I just print a label and drop it off. I referred to this book often for my course to both answer discussion questions and finish projects. It was easy to read and contained pertinent information for my course. I was happy that I had the text to refer to for this course.

Super affordable and really helped me expand upon my nursing knowledge. When it comes to textbooks, I'm old fashioned. I really like to be able to flip through the chapters. It's really well written and provides a great deal of important information for your BSN.

Came on time and in good condition

This book is probably one of the best that I have encountered in my nursing education. It won the Book of the Year Award from the AJN in 2011, and I can definitely see why. It's clear, concise, and interesting. I highly recommend this book to anyone in community health/public health nursing.

Didn't love it but had to have it. Renting it was the way to go. I didn't need any code or anything like that for the class.

Haven't read it yet. Print is very small. Needed to get a magnifier sheet to try to read it. Never got back to it. Thought I needed it for work, but things changed.

This book is poorly written and poorly organized. I am in my last semester of nursing school and I am so disappointed in this book. Perhaps it is written on a graduate level and is not suited to undergraduate study? I should be studying for a community test right now, but have such a hard time making myself open this book. I can spend hours reading a chapter and not have learned anything. Or worse -- learned something wrong.I like to read, and I depend on reading chapters in order to pass exams. But this book does not help me grasp any of the concepts, much less be able to apply them on exams.If you're reading this, I know you probably HAVE to buy this book and I am sorry about that. I just wish instructors would think twice before choosing this as a textbook for their courses. Reading it has been frustrating, to say the least. If I wasn't so far into the semester I would get a more readable book to help me learn this subject.
