Vinegar, the Eternal Condiment

Absolutely love this book, I'm learning so much. If you enjoy this book I recommend also picking up Extra Virginity, it's a book all about olive oil and is a very nice companion book to this one

Excellent book for someone that is a history buff or food buff. Lots of interesting information about the production of vinegar in different parts of the world throughout history. Lots of really good pictures and illustrations as well. Definitely worth buying

Quick read. Interesting topic and learned some thing but overall a fairly superficial overview. Lots of typos. Makes you want to spend more time looking at the vinegar options at the grocery store.

Multiple copies and returns later, I gave up. Everyone arrived with the binding broken and the book falling apart.

This is a great book if you want to learn about vinegar. It is very well written and you get a good knowledge of a very important condiment.

I never thought that I would be interested in reading about vinegar but when I heard about this book I found myself intrigued. So of course I ordered the book. Just as I had never imagined reading about vinegar, I also never imagined that the book would fall apart upon opening it. To say that I'm disappointed is an understatement. Leaving me with a difficult question of how to rate a book with great content but poor construction. I don't want to punish the author for the publishing company decisions. If you want to know more about vinegar and it's origin then please purchase a copy but you might want to invest in the Kindle version.

nice historical presentation of vinegar

This book is a delightful jaunt through the history of such a pantry staple that we rarely give it much thought—vinegar! The journey takes the reader through vinegar throughout time and civilizations. If you have interest in vinegar, or just love food history this well-written, enjoyable to read, thoroughly researched book is for you.

This was an awesome book. Anyone with an interesting i food/vinegar/history will find it a pleasure to read.
