Yes, Size Matters
I bought my Genesis Silver B in 2001 and within 4 or so years saw the porcelain covered steel grill bars start to rust. It took longer for the "flavorizer" bars, but I could see it happening. By 2015, I was being confronted by rust-dust on the grill bars & "flavorizer" bars. My 3 burner grill had hotter spots on the right side, so I swapped stuff around, but it was already dieing.I had to save up for awhile for stainless stuff, but am glad I did. The stainless burner tubes were still in great shape, so I thought that a switch to all stainless would be the way to go - after all this grill was all in good shape otherwise. To order: measure carefully. Don't use a ruler or a yardstick. A tape measure was what I used on the last basically good bar & got a good measurement on the grill bars. When I went to Amazon, I was able to find those sizes & ordered not the most expensive ones. The fit is perfect and just HAS to be better than the porcelain coated steel that kind of failed after only 6 to 14 years. There are some stainless steel mavens that have complained about the construction of these and also the grill inserts, but my grill inserts seem constructed just like my old porcelain covered steel inserts, but of what I consider better material. That is enough to make my try to make them work for maybe another 10 years. I myself may not last that long.BUY THE GRILL COVER! Mine has been on a covered porch for 10+ years but still lives out in the elements. I use it year - round, at least now that I have fixed it up. Besides, my orange cat likes to hang out on it when it's not in use.

So Far, These Bars Work Fine
These flavorizer bars seem no different than the ones you would buy that are branded as Weber. They did come with a vinyl wrap on them which I assume prevents tarnishing. The Weber ones do not come with a wrap. These after-market bars seem as sturdy as any. However, the real test is how long they last and there is no way of reporting that right now. That is why I only gave them a 4 star rating instead of 5. I did notice that my grill worked significantly better once I put the new bars in place, but I think that was because the old ones were nearly disintegrated for a few years of use. The replacements definitely were cut and sized properly for my old Genesis Silver B. There is a warning about sharp edges that comes on the packaging but I assume that the sharpness goes away as they start the normal oxidation process with use. I've cranked up my grill three times since installing these bars and everything is terrific. I will add that it took about 7 days or so to receive them through their standard shipping method which costs about $10 additional. That is their cheapest shipping alternative. The transit time is considerably longer than it usually takes when I buy something that is shipped directly by Amazon and more expensive as well. However, I am very satisfied to date as the price with shipping was still more than $20 less than what I would have paid for the Weber bars at my local Home Depot or Lowes (they only carry the Weber brand of flavorizer bars, no after-market ones).

Perfect Fit For Weber Silver B
Laid right in the grill exactly where they were supposed to. Do be fooled by the claims of 'you have to have 304 stainless steel' because you don't. Yes, 430 SS will corrode slightly easier than 304 but these are inside a grill, not parts used in chemical/paint/pharmaceutical industry tanks. 304 is more about forming and welding being much easier, but because of the nickle content (that makes it non magnetic) 304 is more expensive. 316 is the far more corrosion resistant stainless steel, but you just don't see it in consumer products.

What an improvement to my Weber grill!
I've owned a Weber Genesis Silver gas grill for the last five years or so. Over time, the bars that disperse the gas flame, called flavorizer bars, began rusting. The porcelain enamel was chipping off, exposing the steel and causing rust. I was having to scrape them clean before every grilling session, which was a time consuming and messy job. Also, the rusted parts retained all the juices from the burgers, chicken and sausage we cook regularly, which caused my grill to catch on fire.Fortunately, I was able to put out the fire before my grill was damaged, but I knew I had to rectify the problem.I am glad I found these stainless steel flavorizer bars for a relatively inexpensive price. They fit perfectly in the channels in my Weber grill and have been performing great over the last couple of months. The juices drip right off the bars. It was like upgrading to a whole new grill.Five stars.

Good value for the money
I am fan of the Weber products and their quality but come on... these flavorizer bars are plain bend and cut stainless steel sheets. This is not high tech engineering. No reason to pay $60 or more for the Weber version. Ok these aftermarket ones are not the highest grade. I assume 430 SS since they are magnetic which normally indicates a higher iron content. Not sure what the Weber versions are made off. Especially since the newer weber grills (since the Spirit series was reborn) also doesn't use the higher 304 SS grade anymore. But well.. These are still cheaper and better than the original porcelain covered steel flavorizer bars I have used to far. If I get the same number years or more out of them I am happy. As far as the seller: Fast shipping and very well packed.I wish someone would come up with solid stainless steel grates for the old Genesis / 1st gen Spirit series.

Fast, perfect fit, will they last??
The bars arrived 5 days early and fit perfectly. However, I'm a little worried about the thickness of the bars because they didn't seem as thick or heavy as the old ones. In the reviews this topic was mentioned several times and seemed like people had different points of view on the thickness of the bars. I see the reference to 20 Ga. in the title, so I hope these bars truly last as long as the previous. I grill 3-5 times per week and thru the winter 2-3 times. The last set (OEM) lasted 3 1/2 years so we will see how long these last…Obviously the price was much lower than the $69 retail price at Home Depot or Lowes, so at 52% cheaper they need to last at least 1 3/4 years to break even.
