Every kid should get to read this book!
I have 5 boys ranging in age from 10-2. We got this book from the library so many times when my oldest two were small that I ended up buying it. My kids still love it! I have also bought several copies for family members. The pictures are so much fun, the words and rhythm are fantastic, and every kid loves to search for the hidden alphabet letter on each page!

Very cute book.
My son loves this book. I've read it so many times I don't need to look at the words. It has short rhythming paragraphs for each letter of the alphabet. Its very cute. We got it as a gift when he was 2 and it is still a favorite years later. He took it to school for his teachers to read to the class and we recently bought one as a gift for someone else!

Fun sorry line- language a bit too advanced
The book is cute, teaches ABCs well, has a cute rhyming story. My kids wanted to read it twice. The only complaint I have is the language is reallly advanced (I’d say high school level+) for little kids. It is an opportunity to expand language though it’s a bit long.

Beautifully illustrated with many details
A great book for Dino and/or construction vehicle lovers. Both my sons love this book. I was impressed with the beautifully detailed illustrations and loved the key for all of the different Dino names and vehicle names on the front and back inside covers. My kids love searching for the hidden letters on each page. The text is also great - my kids know most of it by heart thanks to the rhyme.

Cute but flawed
I love Nate Evans books so I purchased this as it had great reviews and looked adorable. I have boys ages 3, 6, 9... They love when I read them books. While I loved the graphics, and the ABC finding, this book will probably not be a frequent read. First off, it's quite long for a bedtime read. There's a page for every letter of the alphabet, and each page has four lines. I would still read it, if not for the bigger issue. My main problem is that there's too much gibberish. In an effort to stick to a letter theme on every page, the lines inevitably make no sense. There's a lot of short choppy sentences that are absolute gobbledygook . Lines like "Faster, faster, four wheels jump. Freestyle flip flop! Big speed bump!" or "Jelly bellies jump and jiggle Jumbo blubber in a wiggle" or "Keypads punched with knack and knowhow, knobs and levers crankshaft GO NOW" "Oops hopping ditches ! Ouch! Flinging stones" Words are patched together cleverly but remember our target audience is how old, four or five? Even my six year old didn't have a clue what I was saying. The vocabulary is also quite advanced for that age. Even my older kids wouldn't know many of the featured words. I don't mind a few hard words- after all that's how kids learn new ones. But this book simply had too many and the sentence structure doesn't really allow them to figure it out. So, clever concept but poorly executed, in my opinion.

Grandson LOVED it!
It isn't the best book or story in the world, but my dinosaur and "working man" obsessed grandson was enthralled with it. We spent a lot of time looking for all the objects listed on the back of the book, which activity you might not notice at first (e.g., cups of coffee, a blue helmet, banana peels, a ring of keys, pile of money . . . ) and also the letters of the alphabet buried in each page.

Best dinosaur construction crew storybook out now
I saw in a blurb that Nate Evans, one of my favorite kids' book authors, was having a book signing at Changing Hands, a delightful and distinctive bookstore in Tempe, Arizona. Since I have clamoring young grandchildren who love books, I decided to go. There was a very decent showing of mothers and fathers with children, friends of the author, and grandmothers looking for a book gift for grandchildren. A gentleman named Bob had been invited to read the book and did so excellently, with a number of children clustered at his feet. The book is "Bang! Boom! ROAR! a Busy Crew of Dinosaurs," written by Nate and Stephanie Gwyn Brown. There's an excitement in the narrative, all in rhyme, and the illustrations by Christopher Santoro are wonderful. The book is just right for small kids and I recommend it highly.

Very Creative. Great book
The book goes through the ABC's, so the first page is words that start with A and the second page is B, etc. It goes through the construction site as the dinosaurs build their project. At the end, they've built an amusement park. Each page has a few short lines that rhymn. My kids are 2 and 4 and really enjoyed the pictures and the story. They also really enjoyed the the first page which shows the dinosaurs and notates which ones were herbivores or carnivores. The last page has pictures of the construction equipment. We enjoyed it so much that I bought this as a gift. Great addition to our library.
