MORTAL KOMBAT - Lord Rayden (Christopher Lambert) has rescued them, but he cannot fight for them. They – a martial artist, an action film star, a soldier – are the chosen three. The world’s fate rests on their shoulders as they compete to save us all in the body-slamming, mystical-tinged, full-tilt spectacle of creatures and conflict. Paul Anderson (Resident Evil: Afterlife) directs this astonishing and trendsetting experience that showed how to turn a smash-hit video game into a movie smash. MORTAL KOMBAT 2 - A new era…but for whom? The Mortal Kombat victory in the Outworld was supposed to give rise to a generation of peace on Earth. But never trust the word of the fiendish and the power-mad. They’ve opened the portals linking their dimension to ours, and Earth will be overwhelmed – if a gutsy band of human heroes doesn’t acquire new kombat skills that will crush Outworld’s imaginative array of bad-ass warrior creatures. John R. Leonetti, cinematographer of Mortal Kombat and 2010’s Piranha, directs the fighting fury of Mortal Kombat Annihilation. Smash evil! MORTAL KOMBAT: LEGACY - Tear into the origins of the legendary tournament that pits the world’s greatest warriors against the forces of Outworld in the fight to save our planet. Discover storylines that deepen the mythology of the Mortal Kombat multiverse and the backstories of your favorite characters, including Jax, Sonya, Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Raiden, Johnny Cage and more! This is kombat taken to a whole new level, more gritty and raw than anything you’ve ever seen before. FIGHT!

Blu ray.
Good Movies for back in the late 1990's, They have some sort of nostalgia for me growing up, Second movie is Good for the fights, First one is good for story and the fights, Second movie has some cheesy stuff in it such as the acting but what do you expect from a video game movie based off tournaments and defending earth with crazy fatalities, Oh and also Good OST in there too, You'll love them, Legacy looks good so can't wait to see that, If you love the old Classic look of MK 1 2 and 3, You'll find some joy in this so id recommend this collection, just wish they added in legacy 2 with it but it was probably before the realease of the collection so expect to buy it separately from this package, Have a good day :]

I never tire of this film
Although it doesn't have everything, Mortal Kombat has almost all that action movie fans could want. The plot is easy to follow (win the tournament), the subplots are spelled out, and the characters' motivations are straightforward. For example, Liu Kang feels responsible for his brother's death; Johnny Cage feels fake and battles narcissism vs wanting to help Sonya Blade; Sonya wants to show she does not need help in her vendetta against her partner's killer; and Shang Tsung is trying to collect power to rule earth and stand against the Emperor. Even the minor characters including Art Lean, Scorpion, and Sub-Zero have clear and integral parts to play. The elaborate sets, Tibetan location images, chiaroscuro lighting, and innovative filming angles are often breathtaking. The background and its characters support the principals, so you become immersed in the environment and flow. If that were not enough, the music score is dramatic and moving and the fidelity is good.I have seen this movie on VHS, DVD, and Laserdisc, and this Blu Ray version is the best on my equipment. There are many details you will not see on earlier systems, and the music fidelity is worth the price of admission. And, by the way, the price is quite reasonable for a single film, let alone three separate discs. Mortal Kombat is the main entre for this meal. Nevertheless, I will also include my micro reviews of the other 2 movies.MORTAL KOMBAT: ANNIHILATION.This sequel is terrible. The new actors playing Lord Rayden (James Remar), Sonia Blade (Sandra Hess), and Johnny Cage (Chris Conrad) have minimal acting presence and the personality that carried Mortal Kombat I is absent. The new characters, Shinnok (Reiner Schone), Jade (Irina Pantaeva), Sindel (Musetta Vander), and Jax (Lynn Red Williams) add nothing to the impact of the movie. Only Liu Kang and Kitana are preserved from the previous film, and Robin Shou looks was so done with the film that he didn’t even do all of his stunts. Instead of tight fighting sequences we are given a new style of “flip flop fu” where stunt people do cartwheels and 54 flips without ever touching each other. Brian Thompson, as Shao Kahn, has his usual screen presence and is given some commanding lines, but he just cannot carry the movie.Along with recycled and stock footage, it sounds like George S. Clinton and Buckethead recycled some of the score that was not used in Mortal Kombat I — you will see why. Ed Boon, Linden Ashby, Robin Shou, Brigette Wilson, Christopher Lambert, Paul W.S. Anderson all expressed displeasure with the movie. Scenes with slipped wigs, continuity problems, and visible cables are just left in the final print. Director John Leonetti didn’t direct another film for 9 years. And Mortal Kombat Annihilation holds a position on many worst movie lists. So, I wouldn’t recommend this movie to anyone I like ‘Nuff said.MORTAL KOMBAT LEGACY:This film precedes the original film and game, and exists to give the background stories and motivations that you could figure out on your own. This rambling is followed by a very predictable series of fight vignettes. The introduction of better actors, including Cary Hiroyuki Tagawa and Casper Van Dien could not save this messy plot. The overall effect is as captivating and immediate as listening to people talk on a bus. If you are enamored of the entire MK universe, you should probably see this movie once, along with all the other MK offerings. Otherwise, don’t bother.OVERALL: If you like martial arts films, nonstop action films, fantasy films, gaming worlds, or dance-fueled tech music, and you do not yet own this film, I suggest that you snap up Mortal Kombat on blue ray for it’s visual depth and audio alone. However, The other two discs, Mortal Kombat: Annihilation and Mortal Kombat: Legacy, are not in the same league as Mortal Kombat. But you don't have to watch them or show them to your friends -- the original film is enough. If you want to see other stuff or follow my reviews, click my name.I hope this review has been really helpful. Enjoy!

Almost no features on the discs.
1st off it always bother me when people buy a movie & then review the movie here. This isn't a movie review section. This a product review. If you bought the movie and hated it, that's your fault. You should know what your getting yourself into before you pay for it. Now for my review. It's a good cheap set. If you want Mortal Kombat 1 & 2 on Blu-ray together, than this is your option. It says triple feature but Legacy is a bunch of short webisodes. 8 to 12 minutes per. Complete with end credits for every one. It's hard to get through. Mortal Kombat Annihilation has absolutely no special features except for the trailer to that film. Mortal Kombat the first one has almost no features. It has the trailer & then has a 39 minute animated movie called Mortal Kombat Begins. If you like Mortal Kombat, you might like it. I can't speak for whether or not these movies bought individually would have features, but I am a collector of box sets & collections & I find often that many sets don't have any special features with exception of the 1st or possibly the last film if it's relatively new. So I didn't expect much of this set. As far as picture quality? If you have the DVD, you basically have the Blu-ray. All this Blu-ray seems to be is the DVD put onto a Blu-ray disc.

Mortal combat multi disk set
1st movie was the best, most of the actors though were not in the 2nd movie, while the legacy disk contains short snippets of other scenes, certainly wasn't worth the money in my opinion. I cannot recommend!
