Fantastic blade!I immediately put mine through some hard use the same day it came in.Pros:It looks fantastic, the balance is great, there is virtually NO shock transfer to the hand while chopping, the edge holds up well... and just look at that trailing edge! Wicked hot.Oh, and the scabbard is great. Fitted kydex with a nylon/cordora belt loop that should fit pretty much any belt. The loop is removable so you should be able to easily install your preferred clip.Cons:The finish does wear with use, but if you're actually using your tools, you should expect that. A bonus for you bushcraft guys and gals that like to strip your blades.After spending some time hacking through branches and then a 2x8 plank, I tried a paper test, which the blade still passed. Nonetheless, I still gave it a go on 400 and 1000 grit whetstones to see how sharpening is and it took to the stones well.All-in-all, this is a large blade that is balanced and weighted well for use as a chopper. The steel's hardness seems to be a good balance between edge retention and ability to be maintained.For the cost, I would definitely recommend you get one.

I own many knives,the balance and weight is just right!! Let me describe it another way : when the Amazon package box arrived i figured there was a package mix-up ( thats never happened by the way), but the box was so light. Upon opening, i observed a long,medium thick blade,beautifully acid wash finish. Think medium/heavy butchers knife for outdoor use. This blade can go from the box to the field immediately.

I received this knife as a birthday gift. The edge retention is solid. The knife was still hair popping sharp after heavy chopping and batoning. It feels good in the hand. And as aesthetically pleasing in as it looks in pictures. Great knife.
