Still highly recommend
Using with my ATH-m50bt headphones.Pros:-Amazing sound quality for a small mic-Switching between uni and omni directional is nice-Love the light up mute button-Very strong magnet mechanism-Very strong adhesive for the magnet base-Plug and plays with every computer and software i tried-Nice carrying case-Useful that it comes with an extra clasp and lots of extra adhesivesCons:-Price.. i just wish there were cheaper alternatives that sounded even decent-Wire is thick and bulky. Sucks to have two big wires coming out of headset-Uni-directional setting only works if placed on the left ear cup, or upside down on the right-Magnet clasp only allows rotations in 90 degree increments

Great customer service for replacement
I had this product that stopped working due to a wire strain, and they were quick to help and replace the product. Be mindful when setting up the wire clamps (giving it leeway space) so it does not strain the wire right below the hard handle area.

Great mic, only complaint is the rubber cable EDIT: Failed after 7 months
EDIT: Failed after 7 months. No longer detects audio unless I'm practically sucking on the mic. Not worth the money, do not recommend.Really like this mic. I've got it attached to my Beyerdynamic 990s and it's the best of both worlds—great sound and a great mic. The mute switch is super useful and reliable. My *only* complaint is that I wish the cable on the mic wasn't just the rubber. Maybe if it were wrapped, or some material more slippery. The rubber really catches on clothing and fabric and causes the mic to kind of flap about on the headset. It's not gotten so bad it's disconnected from the magnet, but I do truly think it's only a matter of time before it does. For the price of the mic, I do truly believe it could be a wrapped cable.

It works as expected.
So overall, I'm happy with this mic. I wanted something universal so that I can use any pair of open back headphones that I wanted and attach a mic to them. The overall sound quality is great. People on Discord have told me I come in very clear and that's the best that I could ask for as far as sound quality goes. I don't do video streaming so I can't comment on the quality of it.My main complaint is that $70 seems very high for what you get. A basic USB mic with magnetic clips that are expensive to replace. The cord is a bit short of what I needed and I had to add an extension usb cable to it. Most people will be fine with the 4 foot cable, but in the case of my current setup as of (2020-06-30), I needed 6 feet so a 2 foot usb extension did the job.The clips work, but you still have two cables running down one side, or a v neck if you put the mic on the opposite side of the headphones. The best solution is to basically wrap the majority of the cable using electrical tape or nylon wrap, making on big fat cable.Overall, if this mic was around the $40-$50 mark, I would give it 5 stars for bang for the buck, but what you get is priced pretty high. If you're at a desk, I would spring the extra $20 for a decent desktop standing mic and avoid the extra hanging cable all together. If you're on the couch and cables extend to some kind of front side usb ports, then this thing may be worth the cost.

2 Year Update - Going strong!
I've had this mic attached to my 6XX for 2 years now and it's been through a lot of tugging and cat bites, but it's still going strong! I get a lot of compliments on the raw sound quality on Discord, but the noise cancellation is not the greatest. I thought it would be weird to have 2 separate cables running down from my headset but I just zip-tied the mic and headset cables together and they feel fine. Super easy to use too for all games and programs (pretty much plug-and-play).

Better is available for cheaper.
I purchased the modmic USB in 2020. I used it exclusively to chat in games. I owned this microphone for three months. Here are my observations:1: The design lacks sufficient thought. The inline mute button is located too close to the mic body, placing it at an awkward spot, uncomfortable to use and very difficult to see the red LED indicator. Also, I placed the magnetic base for it pretty far forward on the earcup of my headphone, but the flex body still isn’t quite long enough for where I wanted the mic placed either.2: This mic still requires its own cable (obviously), meaning you are teathered with two cables, one from your headphones and the other from the mic. Included are some cable clips to attach the mic cable to your headphone cable, so they don’t turn into a spaghetti mess. When the cable clips are used to hold the mic line next to my headphone cable (Audiotechnica ATH-M40X) the cabling was much heavier and often got caught on one of the clips as I moved around (just at my desk, obviously not up walking about). This REALLY was a much bigger downside than I would have thought - it took my modest, but decent headphones and made them super bulky and not easy to wear like an integrated headset would be - it was the worst of both worlds, instead of the best of both worlds.3: The sound quality left a lot to be desired. In game, teammates often told me my audio was too quiet. I tried omnidirectional vs cardiod. I turned up the “Microphone volume” in windows settings all the way, but the mic has no gain control, and sounds like you’re talking quietly into a tin can. I finally downloaded equalizer APO, which let me add some gain, and that helped the volume, but the sound quality was still severely lacking, as the extra gain also magnified its flaws. Even in cardiod pickup mode, teammates started to complain about my keystrokes and mouse clicks in chat.4: Finally there is the lackluster overall build quality. After just a couple of months of relatively ginger treatment, while tweaking (lightly, I wasn’t exactly gorrilla-gripping the darned thing) the positioning in an attempt to improve sound, it simply stopped working. Now I have an awkward $80 paperweight. All in all, for the steep price, I was really unimpressed. The sound is not any better than the mic on any cheap gaming headset. When paired on a headphone it is clunkier, bulkier, and less easy to wear than an integrated headset mic, and it isn’t really any easier to use either. I feel like there are better options for the same price if you want to game with your favorite headphones, and also chat with teammates. As a replacement, I have since purchased a Fifine T669. It was cheaper, comes with stand, boom arm, shock mount, and pop filter. I bought it because all the reviews I’d seen said it should be MUCH better sounding. Being $30 LESS expensive than the modmic USB, I didn’t have super high expectations, but it could scarcely have been be worse! The T669 has served me well since January of this year. It sees almost daily use. There is a gain control right on the mic body, and it sits on its swing arm mounted to my desk, swung out of the way when not in use. The sound quality is quite superior, and my headphones are much easier to wear without the bulky cord and clip assembly. There are some obviously cheap Chinese made components like the stand that serve their purpose, but won’t be winning any awards any time soon, but the mic itself is lightyears better in sound, convenience, control, and overall useability.
