Zoo Med Turtle Tuff Splashproof Halogen Lamp 50 Watts

This is my second time ordering this light for my barfed dragon. The light is bright and keeps his tank at the right temperature. I will continue buying these their well worth the money and easy to change.

I read some reviews that they can sometimes come broken but mine was fine and came just in time as my last one clunked out. It seems to work just fine using a timer daily. I’ve seen some reviews suggesting to not have it turn on and off automatically daily but my timer seems to be good to these bulbs because I had my last one for a year before it started flickering.

Our other bulb burned out so this was a replacement. I will only use this brand for bulbs. They last a long time - maybe have to replace once per year? My turtle is basking under it so I know it’s working!

I probably just need to increase the wattage, but this light doesn’t keep my turtle’s basking area at the temperature he needs. Other than that it’s a solid little bulb and seems to work fine. No flickering and turns on immediately without starting out dimmer like some of the older bulbs.

got this halogen lamp for my leopard gecko it works well for warming her tank up. it was a great price and it's very bright. it looks beautiful once setop and very durable

It does the job, price is comparable to per stores

My two geckos (leopard gecko and AFT) use this bulb and a CHE in their respective tanks. This bulb keeps their hot side at the right temperature during the day and the supplementary CHE provides good evening/night temperatures.

We’ve tried multiple bulbs but this one has worked out the best for us and our turtle, Clarence, loves it! You can’t see the bulb in the photo but just wanted to give context on what our setup looks like. Clarence loves basking under it and will even fall asleep on his platform so peacefully. Other bulbs we’ve tried in the past caused really fast algae buildup but this one has the perfect amount of heat and has kept the water cleaner longer. I believe this is our second bulb, as the first one lasted for about a year. Can’t see us using a different bulb for Clarence anytime in the near future!

Avevo già acquistato in passato questa lampada e mi ero trovato bene, ho deciso quindi di comprarla di nuovo. Questa volta è durata veramente poco: installata sabato 12 Ottobre e oggi dopo solo tre giorni si è già fulminata, un vero record! Ho acquistato un'altra lampada con caratteristiche simili ma di altro brand. Spero che la prossima duri di più, decisamente di piú! Non ho dato una stella solo perché la precedente aveva avuto una lunga durata, ancora oggi funziona.

Usaba otro foco antes pero este le encanta a mi tortuga, en lo que lo prende el temporizador mi tortuga sale directo hacia este foco, lo compré para reemplazar uno igual y me duró un año utilizandolo 5 horas al día.
