Great Brush - Not Made Of Wood - But Better!
I've been looking for a good bath brush for several years, and finally found one. All the plastic brushes soon fracture if any pressure is applied. Wooden brushes mold and mildew after a year or so. Then too, finding bristles that are neither to hard or too soft is difficult. This product is long enough and properly bent to reach anyplace and give it a good scrubbing (if you catch my drift). The bristles are just right and scrub well while not being harsh on sensitive skin. The only odd thing is that this brush is most definitely not made of wood, but a dense and tough plastic. It certainly will never mildew or form molds, as water beads on it surface (though the bristles might, though I think they will be rather worn out before that happens. There is a slight wooden look due to the plastic forming process, but it's palpably not wooden. The question is how long will it last? I've had a wooden bent-handled brush in the past, and while it worked it was great; however it broke at the bend. I resolved to not apply as much pressure when using this brush, but now am rethinking that necessity as the plastic seems very tough. In any event, the brush will be perfect for anybody who has a back issue that prevents much bending. In general, the bristles on a good brush are what wear out first, and that's acceptable and understandable as long as it will last a year or two. If that is the case with this brush, I will no doubt reorder another; cleanliness is essential the older you get, as the skin grows more delicate with age. I'm finally happy with my bath brush; a small treasure in a world of bother.

Glue the Head on and it's Great
As others have said, the head falls off if not glued on. That's designed poorly, but an easy fix. That said, it's the best-reaching back brush I've found for my aging body. I will sand down the handle to round off its edges to make it easier to grip.Cons:Head needs to be glued on to stay put (minor)Handle could be shaped more roundly for grip and comfortPros:Long, bent handle works well for reaching all areas of my backBristles are securely inserted directly into the wooden head (not a plastic intermediate holder) and do not fall outBristle length and stiffness are very good--stiff enough for a good scrub but not so stiff it hurtsI would buy this again.

Best back brush so far!! Still the best one!!!
Best back brush so far. Brush does fall off handle, so I just installed two stainless wood screws. Yes it is made of wood. Perfect angle to reach your back, feet etc. I have tried a few different brushes & this is the best. Actually feels likes it scrubs like it is supposed to. Don't buy the other shorter ones, or the ones with the nubs, those nubs/massage, they hold moisture & grow mold & you have to blech it every once in a while .As far as the brush turning in your hand... that happens because of the angle on the handle, meaning you need to have a good grip or it will rotate. All you need is one wood screw to hold the brush head onto the handle.... simple fix.I am on my third one of these & like I stated before, this is the best brush out there, it scrubs your back well & actually work great as a light back scratcher all in one. Win / Win!

Too expensive, good concept, but could be designed better.
The price is to expensive, for a shower brush, but I ordered this brush because it was 20" long (3" longer than any other shower brushes I could find at 17" long). ... Although the concept is good, there are issues: ... 1. The brush itself is good, and it is detachable, but it also slips loose off the handle while in use. ... 2. The brush handle is longer, but it is angles, not curved, making it slightly more difficult to use. ... 3. The handle itself is slick and hard to hold onto. ... 4. The leather cord to hang it with and/or wrap around your wrist is too short. ... 5. Why there are not longer shower brushes on the market I cannot understand, especially for the overweight and elderly, so there is a marketing opportunity here.

Durable
I purchased the brush in November 2018. Considering that it has been in almost daily use for 5 years now. I think it has held up remarkably well. And the price has actually dropped $2!

Seems like it would be good, but it wasn't.
I used this for one shower. After the first shower, it would no longer hold on to the handle no matter how hard it was pushed in. It seems to be made of more of plastic, than wood. Wood would have held, plastic won't give, so it wouldn't hold on to the brush. Also, in that one shower, I could tell that the angle wasn't a good idea, for me at least. It was also too slippery to hold onto without it spinning around in my hand. The brush was good when handheld, but that isn't what you are paying for. It also seems a little narrow. I would recommend buying a different one. One that won't have all these problems. I returned mine.

Bariatric use, right tool for the right job.
Hello! As a Super Obese person, I was finding it difficult to reach certain areas of my body.I’d been using a different device that was actually made for something else and what a difference the correct tool can make! It’s not impressive on unboxing. It looks kinda cheap. But, I took a moment to pull off the loose bristles and put the handle together. It only goes on one way. Will probably E 6000 glue it together to ensure a snug fit forever instead of afternit gets loose.Found the length wonderful for my 5’8” frame. I could easily do my feet without bending over much and it reached my back and thighs with no painful effort. The Bristles are a medium firmness. They sudded up really well and didn’t hurt my skin, even in more delicate, sensitive areas. The cord that comes to hang it up with is ridiculously short. But it’s an easy fix.I would definitely recommend this item for anyone who’s struggling with getting a great wash.

Brush is great, but needs to be attached securely to the handle
Wonderful extra long handle. Consists of two separate parts. The brush part slides into the handleCons: brush does not attach securely. It is an easy fix with Gorilla glue or a screw.Handle gets very slipperyHaving said all that, I really like this brush and am glad I bought it.

Long shower back brush
As indicated by some other customers, the handle will detach from brush fairly easily and is slippery. I used waterproof Duck tape on handle near hanging tie, and used Gorilla glue to secure handle to brush since I will not be using separately before first use. So far so good. Extra long handle is really nice for using on legs and feet as minimum bending required. Working good.

Back brush
It works well but the handle is hard to hold on to when it gets soap on it. needs a better grip.

Perfect
Bought this for my 83 yr old mom who cannot reach her back in the shower. Tried many disappointing brushes before but this one is perfect and reasonably priced. Handle is long and its not really wood so it wont get mildewy. It is sturdy and seems to be good quality. The brush is not too hard and not too soft - my mom says its perfect. Brush arrives in 2 pieces and they are easy to connect. I decided to add some Gorilla glue which expands into crevices so I wouldnt have to worry about any mold collecting in there
