Bubba HERO Vacuum-Insulated Stainless Steel Travel Mug with Handle, 18 oz, Gunmetal

Thermal (will hold temp hot or cold for over 12 hours with the sipper cover closed). Very durable even when dropped from over 6 feet or chewed by a huge dog. Speaking from experience. Fits in car cup holder. Good weight, seals tight, excellent value, stainless steel (silver and black colors), easy to wash. Bubba Mugs are the best! My dog will agree.

I just bought two more of these Bubba travel mugs. I have been using them for several years now, but when I wanted to get another one recently, I learned that Walmart apparently no longer carries this particular item. I was fortunate enough to find it on Amazon. The manufacturer states that the mug will keep liquids cold for up to 21 hours. I was so impressed after I bought the first one that I ran my own test, filling the mug with ice and water, putting the lid on it, and letting it sit at room temperature for 24 hours and then checking it. I found that all of the ice did not completely melt until well after the 24-hour period. It is a large stainless steel (30-ounce) container and I also like the way it is designed, with a reduced base so that it will fit into a vehicle drink holder and with a tight lid. I have never known one to leak (except when I forgot to close the drink opening tightly). I use them all of the time, and I sometimes "lose" one when I put it down somewhere in the house, basement, garage, outbuilding, vehicle, or even on the lawn mower, so I keep multiples on hand, so I always have one available until I find the previous "lost" one.Recently, when I was in the process of purchasing one from Amazon, I looked at the reviews and was surprised to find a number that were negative. Such as: "Leaks constantly," "do not keep things ice cold for long at all," "handle has already fallen off, "cheap plastic lid," and several that complained that the handle breaks off. I have never had any of these problems, and I do not treat these mugs with care. I have a couple that have large dents in them where I managed to bash them some way or other, and they still function like new. I also read where one reviewer said that she had used this Bubba mug for a long time and really liked it, but when she could not find it at Walmart anymore, she got one from Amazon and that it leaked badly. Made me a little nervous, but I still bought one from Amazon (and then another as I am afraid they might not be available much longer), and both of them are just as tough as the ones I have had for a long time. I don't know why the other folks had these experiences, but seeing as all of the really negative comments are less than 2% of the total reviews, I think they were just unlucky. As a result of now having owned six of these, I highly recommend them.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I have been a Bubba fan for YEARS and was delighted to see a stainless option when I went to replace an old plastic option that broke after dropping it. When these went on sale, I bought a dozen for gift giving and created a whole new generation of fans (much cheaper than Y**i's and just as good!)Quality:These cups last for years! Ice retention:The ice will melt before days end; however, the contents remain cold.Fit:Fits perfect in the cupholder in the car and the stainless version is much better balanced than the old plastic model that had a tendency to easily tip over. These are bottom heavy for a much more stable base - good job Bubba!Lid quality:Love the fact that you can choose which side the opening for drinking can be set by where you start the lid (full circle to tighten to prevent leaks) - so it's great for right or left handed use.

Keeps things hot a long time. good cup but top breaks easily but can't buy replacement tops from company. at this time

Purchased for my husband - he always wants a cup with a handle - keeps his coffee hot for a long time. Great value for the asking price so I purchased two! Lightweight - solid seal - holds a nice amount of coffee - but will keep cold drinks cold as well.

Easy to clean and keeps hot or cold.

The 30oz Bubba Hero XL is an amazing cup for hot or cold beverages. They remain sealed when dropped and can stand most anything. I’ve had several the past 5 years. I mainly replace them due to the seal at the sipper and on the lid becoming too dingy to clean. Hope they do not discontinue these anytime soon.

It does insulate well. Good capacity. But, the black lid & handle material outgasses a strong chemical smell! I suggest baking @ LOWEST oven setting for 3 or more hours after hand washing. Skimpy O-ring lid seal so it's prone to leaking
