Marinco Power Products 12VRCTT.OEM Pro Receptacle with Polarized Leads and Slide Lock, 12V

These are awesome receptacles, and I have some which are at least 10-15 years old which are still going strong. There are two updates/differences to the 12VRCTT.OEM that you need to be aware of. It is called out in the specs and product title!1. These do not have two .25" flag terminals, but one .25" ground terminal and one .187" terminal. So just be aware you'll need the smaller terminal size.2. These use the "quick lock" ring to secure them - this means they are super fast to install as you don't have to thread the whole ring on, and are designed to be fast for production assembly. This also means however that the ring has a "dead spot" with no threads, and that it can loosen up a bit and then it's completely ready to slide off versus having to be threaded the whole way off.For most purposes, you'll want the non-OEM version of these.

I took a chance a ordered 3 of these. They're so cool. Two are going into my car to upgrade what I previously added to the glove box and now to have one close by in the center console. The third is for my buddy's car, I'm adding it so he doesn't get tangled in the octopus of charging cables dangling from his lighter. Going to post on SLK World that these are a must add item if your car doesn't already have one. FYI, Ordered on a Sunday, product shipped out Tue, arrived the following Tues.

Appears to be of high quality, which I would expect from Marinco, although the price seems excessive. Have not yet installed it so I can't comment on the problem other users have found with the retention ring,

This solved a problem of charging plugs popping out of a standard outlet on my motorcycle. Be careful to pay attention to which retainer ring is being shipped. It's probably not the same as shown in the photo. The lister usually states a disclaimer to this effect. Use the Marinco website to determine that the model number on the Amazon listing is going to be correct for your application.

I used this outlet to modify a Arb fridge power kit I installed in the bed of our pickup truck. Everything works perfect and I now have a regular 12v outlet along with a dedicated outlet for our fridge/freezer.

Marking one star so people know that the socket is different than the one in the picture. The picture shows the socket style with the squared off edges and retaining nut. The actual plug is a full circle and has locking tabs (as mentioned in the product description). This socket will not fit into applications that have the squared off hole. After researching the manufactures website I reordered Marinco Power Products 12VRCO which has the same picture as this product. The only difference is the 12VRCO fits my application perfectly because the what you see in the picture is what shows up in the mail.

This was a perfect fit to replace the bad one on my 6 x 4 ATV.

Bought this for my can am spyder as it is the same brand from BRP for much more.
