Decent quality heart chew for dogs
My dog was diagnosed with heart disease a little while ago so the vet suggested I look into supplements that were heart healthy for her to take. It’s so hard to get her to take pills, so I originally was searching for a decent quality chewable tablet when I came across these. Upon looking at the ingredients of these soft chews, I noticed that they contained taurine, L-carnitine and CoQ10, all of which are really good things to help with heart health in dogs. Some studies also suggest that Hawthorne berry also helps with heart health and these chews contain that as well. I decided to take a chance and hope that my dog liked them and ordered them. Upon receiving the chews and opening them, I noticed that they aren’t very soft. They aren’t rock hard either, but are on the harder side overall. This doesn’t really affect my dog at all, but could affect someone with a dog that needs softer food. The chews are heart shaped, which my dog doesn’t really seem to care about, however I think they’re cute. Now to the important part, the taste test. My dog absolutely loves these! As soon as I put them in her dish, she gobbles them up! She does need 4 a day, due to her weight, so we do go through these pretty fast , so it can get expensive, however there are a lot more supplements out there that cost way more. Overall we’re happy with this product and will continue to buy it as long as she keeps eating them!

Teddy loves them—and they give me peace of mind
These heart chews have been a wonderful addition to Teddy’s daily routine. He’s a senior Pomeranian, and I’m always looking for ways to support his heart health as he ages. The Ark Naturals Heart Healthy Wags Plenty chews are soft, easy for him to eat, and he absolutely loves the taste—he gets excited as soon as I open the bag! I love that they’re made with natural ingredients and specifically support healthy blood pressure and circulation. It gives me peace of mind knowing I’m doing something proactive for his heart. The texture is perfect for smaller dogs or seniors with dental sensitivity, and I appreciate the quality and consistency in each piece. Highly recommend for anyone with an aging pup who wants something that’s both effective and enjoyable. This is one product I’ll gladly keep repurchasing.

~~So far, so good....~~
My Boxer dog is getting older and 6 months ago, I had to put her companion down at the age of 4. My dog has been moping around, not eating, and feeling lethargic. I thought I would give these a try although she is only 7. So far, so good. She has been taking these for 5 days now and although the information says she could take up to 6 a day, I have her on a total of 4 which I give twice a day. She doesn't mind the taste, they are not too thick and she hasn't had any side effects. I think the price is a little high but if they continue to help her I will reorder again. Her appetite has increased, she now gets back onto the sofa ...she hadn't been eating well for about 2 months... I don't notice any difference in her water consumption but I do believe she is urinating more.. Will update with any difference I notice. Highly recommended.

She Loves, Loves, Loves These!
When the vet decided to prescribe a heart medication for my dog that cost $108 per month, I found the same medication on Chewy.com for just $50 a month. I realized this natural heart supplement would be a better alternative, as it was much less expensive and likely better for her health. I ended up getting four months' worth for less than $50. If I had kept her on the vet's medication, it would have cost $432 for four months. As a fur baby owner, I don’t prioritize price; I would live under a bridge if it meant I could keep her. Most dog parents understand this sentiment. However, I felt ripped off by a vet who couldn't even confirm whether my dog's heart really needed the medication. The X-ray was, quote-unquote, “blurry,” yet he still prescribed it and charged me $742 for two visits. It turns out her heart is actually doing quite well, especially considering she is about to turn 12 years old on Christmas Day. Instead of solely trusting your vet, trust your heart and gut, especially when it comes to your pets. You know them better than anyone else. My dog thinks these heart supplements are treats—they must taste delicious because she keeps begging for more! I told her she had to wait until tomorrow, and I even had to hide them in the pantry to keep her from begging. Now, she's looking for them! I've ordered other supplements for her in the past, and she didn’t like the taste. She's the least picky eater I've seen. But these? She has gone wild over them!

Really helping my dog with heart disease
My 13 1/2 yr , 13 lb, old shih poo was diagnosed with heart disease. She has been taking enalapril and pimobenden twice a day and furosemide as needed , for a yr and a half, and struggling with chronic cough. So hard to hear her coughing! I finally noticed the salt in the treats I give her medicine with and got rid of them. . I bought these to give her medicine and her cough has stopped! If they are dry, I just dip them in a little olive oil and press the medicine in them. She takes them right down. She is such a dear, loving dog. I am thankful for more quality life for her. A true Godsend. Update: my dog is doing well on these. She still takes half mile walks. We are on our fourth bag. At 13 lbs she takes 2 a day. She will be 14 Sept 1.

THEY CHANGED THE FORMULA AND NOW THEY'RE HARD
I bought these to supplement my fur babies diet. The first two batches were great and they were delighted. I got my most recent order and immediately realized it was different as I removed the package from the box. They are dry and hard. I thought they were old but the expiration date was 9 months forward, then I thought it was a packaging issue and contacted the manufacturer. Who informed me people complained about it being too moist. So they altered the formulation. My older dogs are missing most their teeth. I assume other pet parents may also share this experience. My one guy will still swallow it whole but I'd prefer he enjoy this very expensive "treat". At this point, I may skip these expensive nuggets and just add the ingredients to their diet another way. VERY DISAPPOINTED!

Very chewy
**Update 5/26/23** We saw a cardiologist yesterday and her murmur is still a 4 and no enlarged heart so no medications needed. Not sure if this is helping but I want to think that it is so I will continue. The chews are hard but I cut them up into small pieces and put in her food. She eats them with no problem. I have a 10 pound chihuahua who 4 weeks ago was diagnosed with a 4 grade heart murmur. I just started these 3weeks ago so not sure if they are helping. We will go see the vet in 2 months and will update then of her murmur is stable. They are very chewy so I cut them up into tiny pieces and add to her food. She has no issues eating them and seems to like them. Also have a 7 year old Doberman and I give him only two chews since there are only 60 pieces and they would be gone in 10 days if I did the recommended dose. He also likes them and has no trouble eating them. I believe he just swallows them along with his joint and fish oil treats since he is 85 pounds. I bought them because of the great reviews.

Tasty & effective taurine heart suppliment.
We have a (approx) 4 year old Golden rescue that came to us with an enlarged heart and a little murmur. She is on a limited ingredient food that does contain taurine, but not a lot. This is a heart-healthy amino acid that is lacking in many dog foods and has been shown to help dogs with heart problems. The vet said it would be good to try a supplement. Before we put her on this treat/supplement she did have some slight wheezing and choking if she was too worked up or panted heavily if we walked too far. And we were hesitant to play with her too hard. (She is not overweight and looks amazing.) After several months on this supplement, we have noticed that the hacking & wheezing is 99% GONE. We are taking longer walks and the panting is gone. I cannot verify with certainty that this supplement was the cure, but I just ordered 4 more bags. She loves them and they are a clean, holistic treat -- and the only supplement I could fine with taurine.
