Works for quick maintence tasks
I spray it with a relaxing cat spray, put it on her for 30 seconds, take it off and give her a treat. I do this about once or twice a week. No problems. Then on the 4th week, while she has the muzzle on, I quickly apply her flea meds. She doesn't expect it, or have time to throw her usual flea application fit.

This is great
This mask is great. I have 1 small/regular sized 9lb cat and 2 extral large (20+ lbs, not fat just big, tall & long) cats and the large size cat mask fits all 3 perfectly for its purpose. The front hole is big enough so that the 2 larger cat's noses are uncovered for easy breathing and just small enough that the smaller cats nose and mouth area is covered enough so she cant bite durring bath time.I would recommend this to anyone who's cat loves to bite while being bathed or while having their nails clipped.

Well Constructed
If you need a product like this it works well. It's softer than the nylon shell kind. The stitching is well done. I use it for my kitty when I need to do his claws. He's a wilder feral cat with some trust issues, so this keeps him calmer through the process.

Great for cutting nails
Very well made. Great for cutting my 30 lb Maine coons nails so I don’t get bit. Fits really well, very fast shipping.

Be very careful it doesn’t cause more harm than good.
My cat is having an issue with a new addition of another cat. We wanted this to help reduce the chance of them biting each other in a fight when trying to introduce them to each other. The time is short but when the muzzle is put on the cat she is so scared and when she can’t get it off she withdraws with her head dropped and no reaction to anything. Unfortunately, this is so traumatic for the cat I can’t use it. May be useful for short term grooming though.

useful?
feels awful to put this thing on right, but it's either that or you get rid of the cat, or you get a shock collar, or you deal with the constant meowing of a cat in heat (not a chance in helllll). Anyways I think my cat got pregnant and I won't have to use this thing for awhile..... anyone want a kitten? lol.My cat would just pull this thing off with her claws, I had to clip her claws down a tad bit (very careful when I do that)I love my cat : ( she sleeps with me everynight, but holy cow... they just don't respond well to any method of training do they? at least not for meowing at the friggin door.... It's such a struggle mentally especially when you work from home and you need to focus. Teaches you SOMEEE patience I guess but, this cat muzzle comes in handy when you're at your limit................I stuck mine in a cage (roughly 3-4 times her body size) with the muzzle on, she didn't even try to take it off when she was in the cage.I only did this punishment for 10 minutes each time, I'd set a timer, and it made her not meow for like 1-3 hours.I bet if I kept at it it would have eventually worked, but she got outside somehow one time and I haven't heard her meowing since... now I got kittens to deal with I think.

Calming? No
Chubbs has been destroying our furniture- he squirms and hisses whenever we try to cut his nails- he did not like the covering - tried, without success, to get it off - backing up all over the kitchen, meowing like in pain- BUT, it got the job done- nails clipped without biting or hissing or scratching! Yea!!!he weighs 12-13 pounds and I bought the large- good product
