HP Samsung Electronics CLT-Y406S Toner, Yellow

I am a believer in OEM products. I know the knock off sites state that using anything other than OEM will not void your warranty but I have used their inks and cartridges in the past and I usually get about one to two years on a machine before I start getting error codes and have to trash my printer. I have been using OEM for the past few years in all of my printers and have not had any further problems. I have also had the knock off cartridges that would not read as they have some type of "bar reader" on them and don't always connect with the printer. This is not a problem if you have OEM. Samsung makes a great product and I am willing to pay just a few extra cents to protect my investment!

I bang my head every time I have to shell out money for laser toner, especially when 1-2 boxes (and you need all 4 colors) runs you more than the printer itself. But given the sensitivity of printers these days, I'll only ever buy the manufacturer's product to replace ink+toner. These carts do last a long time, I can only hope the printer lasts longer.

I had purchased a compatible yellow toner previous to this one and didn't install it right away. When I did finally install it, it said the ink was empty as did the other colors I bought with it. So I recommend buying the original rather than a cheaper compatible toner. These last a long time also, my sample one I got with the printer purchase lasted me 6 months so I am thinking this could last a year. My daughter prints a lot for school work so this is a much better deal than with the cartridges from a non laser printer.

I wish it weren't true, but Samsung original toners are just better. There is no excessive toner release or other issues with the toners. The color is what you expect. They just work. Unfortunately you have to pay the price but you get what you pay for. Fortunately the cost is less than list price with Amazon.

The unit cost is about the same as other cartridges but they are certainly much easier to install "take a couple of minutes" this is the first laser printer I have had and so far it is working well and I am very satisfied.

This laser printer has worked great, the toner last long time and I like being able to touch, handle the printed sheets right away, no mess.The toner Cartridges always work just right. Wish there was a return on them for credit and refills. 0¿0
