Barbie BMR1959 Ken Fully Poseable Fashion Doll with Neon Hair, in Neon Overalls and Puffer Jacket, with Accessories and Doll Stand

This doll is really different from the Ken dolls I grew up with!! I wish we had had just half the variety that is out there today...it is amazing! I really, really like this guy and I wasn't sure I was going to. He has a very striking face paint with some eye makeup added but its not over-done...it just looks natural...Mattel did an stand-out job on this one, for sure. His finger nails are also painted. He has a neon green buzz cut and it is neon...very bright. His outfit is well made and I really love the jacket...very nice! I buy my dolls to use in dioramas so they never stay in the box and rarely stay in their original outfits, as you can see from the pictures I included. This guy has so many possibilities!! He is going to be perfect in some things I have planned for Pride month next year. On to the best thing about this doll...he is Made to Move!! We have been waiting for Made to Move Kens and its about time...Mattel, if you are paying attention..we want more and more curvy MTMs too!!!!! He has all the same articulation that the MTM Barbies do. I love so many things about this doll...the clothes he came with are great, his face sculpt and paint are truly unique and delightfully different AND he has loads of articulation! Very happy with this purchase.

While I bought him to rebody another doll with the same skin, this beautiful Ken doll is well made and truly unique from the top of his head to the soles of his platform boots. The glam make up is fun, and I love his little painted nails that add just the perfect little extra touch. He's absolutely worth the price!

I don't like that I can't leave a feedback for each doll on their own page. I like all the dolls accept 1. The BMR1959 line all have nice colorful outfits that are removable. They all have fully Articulated bodies for that natural posture for better posing for great photo shots to add to your blogs. These dolls are well made and heavier than the Fully Articulated M2M line. But any fully Articulated doll body we enjoy because of the flexibility. Now all Barbie has to add is there removable hands for the ease of changing their clothing like the FR dolls. We love these all the same. I bought Neon doll just because of his Fully Articulated body and the Jacket and shoes. He is not a real man more of the in between type of guys that is inappropriate for roleplaying in our church class. These are worth the buy and they just may be a collector's item. If every Ken doll was like this, I'd own a thousand of them instead of literally just this one. With quality flocking, garish colors, endless posing possibilities, flawless makeup, and a look on his face like you just told him about your new boyfriend's ambition to quit his career job and become a Twitch streamer who exclusively plays Tiger Electronics handheld games, this doll could not be more perfect.

This ken doll is amazing. He is vibrant and fun. My daughter got very excited when she saw a picture of him because of his make up. She is bi so to see LGBTQ represented in this doll was great for her. She collects dolls and said he was an absolute must to add to her collection so I ordered him for her to save as a Christmas gift. I can't wait to see her open it. Definately a great doll to add to a collection or to even take out and play with. He comes with a stand so he is awesome for displaying and the box he comes in is great. I love that you can open it kind of like a shoe box and fold back tissue paper to see him.

Love this doll-- and the message it sends to children as well as to adult collectors. The packaging is nicely done, as well as the entire design of the hair (neon green flocked), makeup (gender bending) and clothes (faaaaaabulous club kid ensemble). Comes with a stand and certificate. Presumably geared toward adult collectors, but not that expensive so I recommend gifting it to a Barbie-loving kid (including little boys). I would prefer the old-school "bendable"legs of softer rubber over some kind of metal skeleton with hinged knees, rather than the visible "G.I. Joe" style joints in hard plastic arms and legs, especially with the elbows and knees visible. The face mold and painting are particularly nice.
