healthy quick meal
I like (need) the no salt added, and also it is actually a healthy canned soup, really handy for a quick meal. I like the texture of the beans in the soup, very smooth, but not overcooked, I usually can't get that texture with my dried beans. I like to add a bit of sweet vinegar and some seasonings as I heat it up, usually some rosemary or a little sage. Tastes great with practically no effort.

Yum Yum
Really liked this soup. The only minor bad point is that there is quite a bit of corn in the amount of vegetables personally, I would’ve preferred a little less corn and some other vegetable than it. The broth was very tasty.

Dented and tasteless
Too many dented cans, which puts you at risk of toxins (feel free to research that yourself) ... I threw half of the cans away because of that. Even those that I actually used were disappointing as far as taste was concerned. I learned to add additional spices to make them palatable .. . Very disappointing.

Try adding some KCl if your diet allows
As many have observed this soup is a little tasteless unembellished straight out of the can. No surprise given it is just about the lowest sodium canned soup you can buy. Taking sodium out once it's in there is impossible but adding non-sodium seasoning is easy. Adding some sodium free salt like Potassium Chloride and some fresh ground pepper helps wake it up for me.I also noticed as others have that most of the cans are dented. That's a bit disappointing given what we are paying for this. Hard to say where in the process the rough handling occurred. All things considered I will probably buy more when this case is gone.

Health Valley Lentil is delicious no-salt-added soup
Health Valley Lentil is my favorite no-salt added soup. I have been eating Health Valley No Salt Lentil Soup for years, but when I moved to Eugene, Oregon it was not available here, so I started buying it by the case from Amazon. I follow a no-salt added diet in order to maintain normal blood pressure without medication. I don't eat meat nor do I add oil to my food. It really helps me out to be able to eat lunch without cooking. I like to microwave a white/Gold potato, cut it up (including skin) and add it to the soup. It makes the soup hold me until dinnertime. I also like to add 4-5 drops of Tabasco Sauce to make it a little spicy. My first case was about 3/4 dented cans, but my review that stated that was rejected by Amazon so never posted. I know for sure it left the factory like that because the case comes in a cardboard holder and is covered in plastic and the dented cans were interior cans. However, I ordered again, and now I have gotten 4-5 cases in a row without dented cans. I just ordered 2 more cases of lentil and 1 case of tomato Health Valley No Salt Added soup so I am willing to buy it myself.

50/50 chance of a non-dented can
Giving 3 out of 5 stars ONLY because the order contained about more than half of a case were dented.Otherwise the soup is nice and delicious giving you control of the salt content. My aunt was in rehab while the return date elapsed and she couldn’t do anything about it.Call it a 50/50 chance of getting a good thing.

I'M NOT A HIG SOUP EATER, BUT...
Want to get your Veggies. This delicious/nutritious soup is rightly called Vegetable Soup. It contains nine vegetables: Potatoes, Carrots, Tomatoes, Corn, Onions, Celery, Green Beans and Spinach. And if you care, it is Organic, Non GMO, Gluten-Free.It is also Salt Free which for me is bland tasting. I solved that by simply adding salt to suit my taste and thought it Delicious. Remember you can add salt, but not remove it.And the entire 15 oz can is only 160 calories.I rate it Thumbs Up.I

Severely dented cans
The shipping box was in good shape, the plastic wrapping around the 12 cans was broken and several cans were thrashing around in the shipping box which contained other items. Out of the 12 cans 7 were so damaged I had to throw them away. I tried to return them and during the process it informed me the items are not returnable and to contact Amazon. After a failed attempt to verify my identity on the phone I called Amazon. I got through pretty quickly and the rep told me to discard the items and offered to reimburse me. My plan was to reorder but after reading the reviews I chose not to. The soup is OK, I keep them around for emergency. Since they have no added sodium I expect them to taste bland. I usually add a 5oz can of Bumble Bee white chicken (only 350mg of sodium per can) to the soup and heat the whole thing in the microwave. The result is a fairly decent soup for those cold winter days when I have the sniffles. My other beef is that the expiration date is less then a year. If I could get untended cans I would order again, but until these negative reviews stop I hold off. I am able to get other "Healthy Valley gluten free no added sodium" soups in our local stores and they have an 18 month to 2 year expiration date. No clue were the damage occurs, but it is not during the shipping process. I also think that 12 cans should not be shipped with other items in the same box, thankfully they didn't damage the more fragile stuff. If you order, just order the soup alone.
