The product description is very accurate in regard to holding force. I haven't measured with a gauge yet, but it certainly feels like 55 lbs. I have both flat-top firearms like Glocks and rounded / angled-topped firearms. The mounts hold the non-flat tops very well despite limited contact area. If you are planning to mount the magnets to a plastic surface such as vehicle interior panels, the holding force is so great on flat-topped weapons that there is a high risk the amount of force required to retrieve the weapon could break the plastic. I'm a "more is always better" kind of person, so I'm well pleased.

These have a thin profile that does not compromise it's hold at all. I've had other cheaper brands and they were bulkier than these, and those older cheaper ones did not feel as strong as these. So I'm very happy on these new ones.You get 4 magnets, and everything is neatly packaged. There's a double sided sticky pad if you prefer to not drill, and there's 4 hardware bags, 1 for each magnet, that contain wall anchors and 8 screws (4 short, 4 long).They do have thick hard rubber to stop sliding and scratches to ever happen. Again, these are strong and holds my stuff without worry at all.Be careful though, I accidentally got 2 of these close together and it snapped together pretty hard and pinched my finger. I didn't really get hurt, but maybe for someone else it could hurt.All in All, these are perfect. I'd buy again no problem for any other use case I find needed. I recommend them!

The only reason I gave it one star, is that I'm not in love with the idea of an exposed trigger on a loaded gun. I know I'm careful enough to never make that mistake, but it still just makes me nervous. If you don't care about that then this seems to be a good product, other than the fact that the included tape is pretty garbage, doesn't stick to anything really. Grab yourself some 3m double sided tape. But honestly that won't even work in your car most likely. You'll probably need to screw these in to hold them.

Super easy to install without screws under my steering wheel. (I used an adhesion promoter with it, also) but it’s solid as hell, even over the bumpiest roads.

Exactally what I expected. Very strong

The item worked as described. However the barrel of my mounted item was a metal alloy on the magnet, just would not stick to it, strong enough to hold it other than that worked as described.
