Great reel
Smooth ,well built and strong. Paired with a seeker 6480 ct for Oregon sturgeon. Love this setup. Star drags are a nice switch from lever drags when built properly.

I own other Shimano reels like talica and Calcutta but when it's about casting i have to say this reel is super nice

Fantastic reel. Like all of my Shimano purchases, it reeks with quality. I would not use it for tuna over 50 pounds due to the drag system not being suited to huge fighting fish, however the free spool and casting ability is very, very good.

Used less than 10 times
When you purchase a reel like this you expect it to last a long time unfortunately mine only lasted less than 10 trips. Have had Shimano products for a long time but this is a huge blow cannot support a company who doesn’t rigorously quality check a 500 product before pushing out BUY A DIAWA SALTIGA INSTEAD

The best reel of this size made. Able to handle 40 pound bluefin. And Shimano service is simply the best.

Stay away!
Would NEVER recommend! Burnt/tore drag washer on a 13lb Salmon, a almost-new reel. Parts probably all made in China, and not Japan. Shame!
