If you have a 2018 MacBook Air you need this
After recently getting a new 2018 MacBook Air that has two USB-C connectors as the only ports for external devices, I realized all of my older USB and Thunderbolt dongles were useless without some way to connect to the USB-C on the MBAir. Enter this device! The first test I put it to was connecting to my portable LED projector which has HDMI inputs. There I was in the semi-dark meeting room plugging this 7-in-1 hub into the MacBook Air for the first time thinking there wasn't going to be enough light for me to figure out which port on the adapter was for HDMI. I plugged the adapter into the MacBook and instantly soft blue LED lights shone out from each port. This not only confirmed the hub was connected but also allowed me to immediately see the HDMI port in the darkened room.... Nice! I've only had the Gikersy adapter for a day but last night in the dark room it proved itself. The other ports work as described and allow many other types of devices. Would be nice to have an Ethernet port but I have another adapter for that. Otherwise it works exactly as described to allow many devices to use a single USB-C port now found on many laptops and some projectors.

Hit or miss depending on computer
This hub has an excellent assortment of ports, but it only works 100% well on certain of my household's computers. As many will note, macOS does not like to extend multiple displays through one of these hubs, so if you connect multiple monitors to macOS through this hub then they will all be mirrored, no option to extend. Windows and Linux are much more forgiving. Windows running on bootcamp on my mac works perfectly well, extending multiple monitors using the one adapter, and Linux on a Lenovo thinkpad work laptop works, but Windows on that same Lenovo struggles at times to recognize multiple displays are connected to it (may just be a graphics memory issue, but I'd assume the Lenovo would have more memory than my older, less powerful macbook) and my wife's HP envy x360 is intermittent in the same regard.Overall, I mostly needed this for giving a single additional monitor so the dual monitor extending is a little bit more of an added nicety, but ease-of-use could be better if all computers I was dealing with responded more seamlessly with the device.

Not very durable after 6 months of use
The media could not be loaded. The first 6 months I used this was great but then it started breaking down on me. I purchased this in Summer 2019, and by January some of the ports started giving me issues. Sometimes the USB ports are non-responsive and the HDMI port only works if I position the adapter at a certain angle. If I don't position it at a certain angle, my monitor starts glitching out (check the video and picture I attached). My colleague had also purchased this unit around the same time as myself and they also experienced issues where they had to angle the adapter in a certain position for it to work. This is extremely frustrating considering this adapter in the best selling one on Amazon. I don't know if they have updated their product in the past year but the unit I bought is not very durable and am disappointed because the actual product looks very nice, compact, and lightweight.

Great seller who stands by the product, but device is not compatible with my Dell Lattitude.
UPDATE: after discussion with the seller, I learned that this device is not recommended for my Dell Lattitude laptop which is why I was having trouble with it. They were kind enough to give me a full refund despite being past the Eligible return date.ORIGINAL REVIEW: Ilike the available ports. It seems to work fairly well for me. I am using it to connect my laptop to two monitors with extended (not duplicated) displays. It works fine one day but then the next day I can’t seem to get the screens to extend. I’m also getting a warning from my laptop that the power adapter is “undersized” and that my computer may not charge correctly. So far it seems to charge fine though.

Might be fine for you
I bought this hub after searching for a low cost option to run my dual monitors from my laptop. For that purpose alone, it works pretty well. However, due to a number of small annoyances I returned it for another one. When running two 1080p hdmi monitors, the usb - a ports run too slowly for my wireless mouse and keyboard. What I've found since is that this isn't that unique to this hub, and might even be an issue with my dell, but the promise of a single usb-c plug for my displays and inputs is the reason I chose this hub.Additionally, my pc couldn't stop trying to connect to the audio jack on the hub. I never plugged headphones into the hub, but every meeting tool I used assumed that was the audio input of choice, to the extent that my Bluetooth headset wouldn't work. Again, perhaps a mis configuration on my PC, but enough for me to try a different hub.At my work office I have the (very expensive) dell factory hub that runs a single hdmi, single display port, and all my accessories without issue. At my second home desk I have a much cheaper single hdmi hub that runs a 4k and all my accessories without a problem. I ended up replacing this with a slightly more expensive ($40 as opposed to $30 I got this one on sale for) hub that doesn't have an audio jack. It runs the displays fine, but I still can't run my keyboard and mouse through it. But for the $100 difference to the factory dell one, I'll live with it.

Great quality - great price
This product is perfection. I have been looking for something like this for a while and for the money it is a great deal. I love that I can take pictures with my “fancy” camera and use my iPad instead of my bulky laptop. I can also use this for presentations on the go and cast from any type of storage. It is portable and easy to take in a backpack or even a purse. It has an adapter that is universal and will fit most apple devices or a converter can be used. The quality is great and I look forward to using it for a long time.
