Justin Morgan Had a Horse

I owned a little Morgan horse that was the spitting image of his sire, who was the spitting image of Justin Morgan. My horse had the long tail that dragged on the ground, stocky build, small curved ears, and loved being the center of attention. Reading this book reminds me of horse from long ago and my passion for riding. It also reminded me of growing up in Maine and the unique New England expressions. I can just picture the accents. I am so glad I found this book. I’m looking forward to reading more. Yeah, it’s a little silly for a grown woman to be reading kids books, but it brings back memories of my childhood.

My daughter has all of the books in this series and loves them. Perfect for every horse loving girl.

Absolutely ADORE this story! I did not read it until now in my adulthood but it is great no matter who you are! I did read the book in a very short time as it is geared for children. Now I am looking for the movie Disney made on DVD!

Marguerite passed away years ago, but her writing lives on and thrills every new generation and enthralls those who have read it in the past. I'm one of those who read it in the past, but I can truly say that it was just as interesting, maybe MORE than the first time I read it. Being a horse lover and a writer about horses myself, I was not disappointed in this purchase. I recommend this one to anyone who likes to read, but any parent with a horse loving child should get this for that child.

This is a nice hardbound book and was even better than advertised (pretty much like new). My granddaughter really likes the story of the Morgan horse.

Cant wait for my daughter to read this! bought for her homeschooling course. it has awesome illustrations and a nice size word type. my daughter owns her own Morgan horse and this will be an awesome way for her to connect with the breed and her horse.
