The quality, workmanship, and detail is impeccable.

I was worried when I got the gift because the box felt entirely too lightweight. The piece IS very lightweight but definitely sturdy. BUT! Be VERY careful taking it out the box, there is an area that is extremely weak and it's the butt of the rifle on the backside of the piece! It's positively beautiful and stunning to look at. My boyfriend's father is a retired Marine and was gobsmacked!

This statue is amazing!!! I gave it to my "former Marine" Dad for Father's Day and he was speechless. The pictures do not do it justice because the detail is so exceptional. If you have any doubts about ordering this, I cannot emphasize enough that you will not be disappointed. When he could speak the first thing my Dad said was, "Darlin', I think you did too much.". I would have given five stars but some of the small details on the statue were deformed a bit. The writing on the base is clear and easy to read and it is a pretty nice little statue. Those who do not like the plastic gold flag can change it pretty easy with a coat hanger and a small American flag.

Being a proud US Marine Corps veteran, I will say that this product is the perfect gift for your favorite "devil dog/ teufelhunde" The base is engraved with every battle that the Marine Corps has ever prosecuted, from the american revolution to afghanistan. The quality of the USMC Monument is highly detailed, and in the keeping of the highest standards of the Corps itself. And, if, you have a salty US Navy veteran / sailor in your family. Please don't forget Navy Corpsman John "Jack"; "Doc" Bradley, who along with Pima Indian Ira Hayes is immortalized in bronze at Arlington Park. I proudly display this fine reproduction on my "war wall" flanked by insignia patches of the 1st Marine Division, and the 101 st Airborne Division, with a D-day Cricket, and a pack of Lucky Strikes.
