Warner Bros / Modern Publishing Baby Looney Tunes Bath Tub Books (Set of Four)

First, let me say I love the concept of these books. Great for bath time or tummy time. My suggestion would be to enhance the colors in the illustrations to help captivate little eyes. Research is continuing to show that bold contrasting colors are very engaging to little eyes and helps promote better vision and recognition. The colors in these books are all pastels. My little girl will look at them but she doesn't prefer them nearly as much as she does the bold color books we have.

Overall a very nice set of educational bath books. Good value as at the time of my writing this they are around $3.75 per book. Each book has 6 educational pages not counting the cover and the back page. First words has hello, happy, sun, ball, flower and goodbye all done with Tweety Bird. Opposites has up and down, big and little, far and near, dirty and clean, open and closed, and on and off, with all the characters in fun scenes. Rhyming words has tree and bee, tug and bug, hat and cat, pail and snail, slide and ride, and tall and small with all the characters. The colors book has one item on each page with the color and well as the border in the color and the word in the color. So blue has the word blue in blue and a blue snail, and nothing else blue. Purple has a purple butterfly.All the books are executed well. The only shortcoming is my set all of them are kind of washed out colors. So either my entire set was exposed to too much sun, or this is just the way they are. Even so though I do recommend the books guardaingly(good value and fun scenes in each book). If your set is not sort of washed out color wise so much the better. I personally sent the books back because the colors are clearly all washed out compared to the pictures on Amazon and also what they should be. But again, that could only be the item I was sent. Without that it would have been a clear keeper and 5 stars.

got for grandson, he is only 5 months old, so thought they would work for him now as most babies like to "eat" their books - sure enough he put them in his mouth, but also loves the colors!

I agree with the other reviewers that the colors aren't very vibrant. It took my son a while to get the concept of some of the words. Like there's a picture of one of the baby tunes on a tricycle. Instead of "bike" or "trike" the word is "ride". The verb was just a little more difficult than the object. But overall my son likes them and has us read them a lot. Especially now that he has soap crayons in his bath - not only can he draw on the bathtub (and himself), but he "writes" in his books now, too.

My daughter said that my four month old grandson was enjoying them in his bath. I did not see the books, but I will take her word that he likes them.

I split this set up for two of my grandchildren. I remember my children with one. More uses than in the tub!

Thought they were smaller, but granddaughter plays with them once in awhile..

Colors are washed out which is a particular problem for the color book. The colors do not look anything like what they are marked as. I really like the concept (my daughter has more like these) but I would encourage people to get similar books instead of these.
